Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Details Mrs. Freeze’s Combat, Traversal, and More

As a dedicated fan of open-world looter shooters and DC Comics, I can’t help but feel a renewed sense of excitement for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as we approach the release of Season 2. Despite the initial criticisms and lukewarm reception that the game received upon its launch, Rocksteady Studios has been committed to delivering new content for players, and I’m impressed by their dedication.

The video game “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” has been struggling since its release despite receiving negative criticism and low sales. Nevertheless, the creators, Rocksteady Studios, have announced that they will proceed with their post-launch plans. Starting July 25, Season 2 will be available, introducing a new character, Mrs. Freeze, as well as additional features. Rocksteady has shared more information about what players can anticipate in the upcoming update.

In an alternate universe, Mrs. Freeze, a changed version of Mr. Freeze, is known as Victoria Frias. She is portrayed as a solitary and unyielding survivor who endures in freezing conditions. The last inhabitant of her planet, which was devastated by a fatal ice age following Brainiac’s invasion, Mrs. Freeze will be accessible to players only after completing the Incursion series of Season 2 and defeating the new Brainiac boss.

As a passionate fan, I can tell you that Mrs. Freeze’s unique power lies in her ability to manipulate ice through her freeze tech. With this skill, she can transform the environment to her advantage, both for combat and exploration. Icy paths will materialize under her feet, enabling her to glide smoothly, either in mid-air or on solid ground. Furthermore, she’s not just limited to simple paths; her traversal abilities also include creating icy platforms for additional height or stability and even intricate loop-de-loops for thrilling aerial maneuvers.

In terms of combat, she is prepared with three distinct approaches: The Cooler style centers around her cryotech, the Physicist style emphasizes her melee capabilities, while the Technician style revolves around the effectiveness of your equipment.

Alongside Mrs. Freeze’s introduction, the second season of Suicide Squad offers players an additional Elseworld to discover – a frozen variant of Metropolis in Mrs. Freeze’s domain. This new Elseworld presents a visually different experience with an icy theme, and introduces new challenges such as lava pools, altered landmarks, and more.

Players will find an abundance of new weapons and equipment with DC villain themes. For instance, there’s the Killer Frost Infamy set, as well as Notorious Firefly and Golden Glider gear, and noteworthy melee weapons modeled after Parasite. Throughout the season, additional offerings will be introduced, such as Captain Cold Infamy sets, Notorious Heatwave and Icicle gear, among others.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
