New Evangelion Exhibit Will Recreate NERV

New Evangelion Exhibit Will Recreate NERV

As a long-time fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, I’m always excited to learn about new projects and developments related to my favorite anime series. Despite the bankruptcy of the original studio responsible for creating Evangelion, Studio Khara’s acquisition of the franchise has brought new life to the iconic mecha and its intricate universe.

The acclaimed anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” may currently be off the air, but it continues to make headlines with innovative undertakings. Previously, the EVA pilots concluded their groundbreaking “Rebuild of Evangelion” movie series, which served as a reboot and continuation of the original storyline. Although no new anime installments or films have been announced for this franchise, “Evangelion” remains active with intriguing ventures. This autumn, fans can look forward to an all-new exhibit where some iconic mechs, weapons, and characters from the series will be brought to life in reality.

Previously this year, it was unfortunate news that the original animation studio behind Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gainax, filed for bankruptcy. Fortunately, Studio Khara took over many of their projects and intellectual properties. In a statement, Studio Khara shared, “We’re deeply saddened that an animation studio with nearly 40 years of history has reached this end. Regarding the GAINAX trademark and title, as stated in Gainax’s release, we now manage it ourselves. Furthermore, it is important to note that ‘Gainax’ is a distinct legal entity from other companies such as Studio Gaina, Fukushima Gaina, Gainax International, GAINAX Kyoto, Yonago Gainax, and Niigata Gainax. There are no trademark agreements between our company and the previously mentioned entities.”

From my gaming perspective, I’ve got to share some exciting potential news for fellow Evangelion fans! Although no official confirmation has been made yet about new anime installments, creator Hideaki Anno recently dropped hints during an interview that there could be upcoming projects related to the EVAs and angels. While he may not be directly involved with NERV’s return, we can look forward to possibly exploring this captivating universe once more. Keep your eyes peeled on ComicBook for any new developments in the Evangelion anime scene!
