Emmerdale star James Chase says it is “challenging” portraying abuser Tom

As a film enthusiast who has followed Emmerdale for years, it’s always a rollercoaster ride to watch the intricate storylines unfold, but at times it’s incredibly difficult to watch the evil antics of Tom King Jr., played by James Chase. It’s not just hard for us viewers, but for Chase himself, who finds it challenging to embody such an abusive character.

The actor shared that he finds it difficult to portray Tom’s roles due to some dark scenes. He tries to immerse himself fully in the character but makes sure not to let the heaviness of the part affect him off-set, as it can be quite overwhelming.
