New Star Wars Comic to Explore Ewoks After the Battle of Endor

As a long-time Star Wars fan and someone who grew up watching the Ewoks in “Return of the Jedi,” I couldn’t be more thrilled about Marvel’s upcoming comic series, “Star Wars: Ewoks.” The idea that we’ll get to explore their world and learn more about what happened after the Battle of Endor is simply beyond belief.

Fans have been curious about what Marvel’s Star Wars comics have in store for us following the conclusion of several popular series, and today we have an intriguing announcement. Marvel Comics has revealed that the upcoming title, Star Wars: Ewoks, will focus on the beloved creatures indigenous to Endor, providing insights into the aftermath of the Battle of Endor as seen in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Previously, Marvel’s Star Wars comics delved into the time spans between Star Wars: A New Hope and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars: Ewoks could potentially pave the way for further series set after Return of the Jedi. Star Wars: Ewoks is scheduled to be released on October 9th.

As a devoted fan who grew up watching “Return of the Jedi” every Sunday after ski trips, I can hardly believe that I’m now part of the team celebrating the Ewoks and delving deeper into their world following the destruction of the second Death Star. When I was young, the Ewoks captivated me – Wicket, in particular, was my hero, a brave adventurer like me (or at least, like me back then). Now, as an adult, it’s an immense honor to work alongside Wicket and introduce new Ewok characters to Bright Tree Village. But that’s not all! We’ll be uncovering so much more about Endor – a world teeming with power and intrigue – and exploring it like never before. Get ready for an extraordinary journey as Wicket teams up against a dangerous gang of Imperial Thieves, racing against time to save the Forest Moon!

Mikey J. Basso, the editor, commented with enthusiasm, “The Ewoks in Star Wars are frequently overlooked yet they possess significant power. Being an ardent fan of the Ewoks myself, I can’t wait for readers to delve into this tale and explore their intriguing world further. Brace yourselves for a rollercoaster ride filled with excitement, suspense, and emotional depth – elements that have long captivated Star Wars fans!”

New Star Wars Comic to Explore Ewoks After the Battle of Endor

According to the press release, this year signifies the 40th anniversary of the Ewoks’ ongoing escapades beyond the Star Wars movies. The success of these lovable yet powerful creatures, who contributed significantly to the Rebellion’s triumph in “Return of the Jedi” during the Battle of Endor, will be honored with a new 4-issue comic series titled “Star Wars: Ewoks” due out in October.

As a passionate gamer and huge Star Wars fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be embarking on an exciting new adventure with the Ewoks! This time around, Marvel Comics brings us “Star Wars: Ewoks,” written by the brilliant Steve Orlando (known for his work on “Scarlet Witch”) and beautifully illustrated by the talented artists ?lvaro L?pez (“Extreme Venomverse”) and Laura Braga (“Star Wars: The High Republic”).

A group of hunters and scavengers from Imperial forces, led by Imperial leaders, lands on the Forest Moon of Endor in search of hidden Imperial weapons. Will they be able to overcome the well-prepared Ewoks who previously caused significant casualties among their ranks? Who is the enigmatic new Ewok warrior coming back to Bright Tree village, and what connection do they have with Wicket W. Warrick?

Star Wars: Ewoks hits shelves on October 9th.
