WWE's Wes Lee Returns to TNA, Lays Out Challenge for Slammiversary

As a long-time fan of professional wrestling, I’m absolutely thrilled to witness the reunion of the Rascalz in both TNA and WWE. Their return has brought back fond memories of their past successes and has added an exciting new dynamic to both promotions.

As a longtime fan of professional wrestling, I’m always excited when I see crossovers between different promotions. Tonight’s episode of TNA iMPACT! brought back memories as The Rascalz – Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, and WWE NXT’s Wes Lee – made their appearance, reuniting for the first time in four years.

The influence of their actions has extended to WWE’s NXT shows as well. The Rascalz, a beloved group, have reunited on NXT, much to the delight of fans who cheered them on with “welcome back” chants. Their emotional return included not one but two appearances, marking their first match together since early 2022 when Wentz was released from WWE. On this past episode of NXT, they triumphed over Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang).

In the past few months, Wentz and Miguel have shared insights into TNA’s new partnership with WWE. This collaboration has significantly benefited TNA, as they are currently hosting a sold-out event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada called “Slammiversary.” This is one of the largest shows TNA has had in years.

In my opinion, this collaboration between TNA and WWE is fantastic. I spoke about it on “Busted Open Radio” and here’s why: when we teamed up for those NXT appearances, our social media reach saw a significant boost. My followers grew, as did TNA’s, and our pay-per-views started selling out. The energy surrounding this partnership is palpable – it’s like the audience is saying “Bring it on!” This arrangement provides new opportunities for wrestlers, offering fresh perspectives they may not have encountered before.

Miguel commented, “Absolutely right, one hundred percent. The belief used to exist that TNA was merely a destination for WWE veterans. However, it’s becoming increasingly clear that TNA is no longer just an endpoint but rather a potential starting point. It’s no longer the place where careers fade away; instead, it’s where new and exciting opportunities can emerge” (source: Wrestling Inc.).

Wes Lee, Trey Miguel, and Zachary Wentz come together once more in the Treehouse setting. The Rascalz could potentially return for TNA Slammiversary!?
