Former WWE Champion Makes Shocking GCW Debut

Former WWE Champion Makes Shocking GCW Debut

As a huge fan of professional wrestling, I was absolutely thrilled to witness Raj Dhesi, better known as Jinder Mahal during his time in WWE, make his shocking debut in Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). The moment he revealed himself after the attack on The Rad Dads during GCW High was electric.

At tonight’s GCW High event, a surprising entrance was made by a past WWE Champion, Raj Dhesi, formerly known as Jinder Mahal. The Rad Dads were holding their own against The Rejects in the ring, but suddenly, two masked interlopers joined the fray, disrupting the flow of the match. After dealing with these intruders, the Rad Dads were not done facing challenges, as yet another masked figure entered the ring and delivered a choke slam to Effy. As the mask came off, it revealed the face of none other than Raj Dhesi, making his debut in GCW. With this unexpected appearance, he appears intent on leaving his mark in the organization and is expected to be a recurring presence.

After the masked men assaulted The Rad Dads, Manders quickly intervened, shooing them away and escorting them out of the ring. It appeared that the situation had been resolved, but another figure emerged from behind and entered the arena. To the astonishment of the audience, this was none other than Dhesi, who unveiled himself with triumphant cheers as he towered over his defeated adversary.

Dhesi was one of three unexpected WWE releases earlier this year and the news of all three releases hit during the April 19th episode of SmackDown. Dhesi, Xia-Li, and Xyon Quinn were released from the company, and Dhesi would tweet ahead of the news, writing, “I Quit. Maharaja Out ?.” He would change his Twitter bio to read “Free Agent – 90 Days,” and now that 90 days is officially up, leading to his big debut in Game Changer Wrestling. We’ll have to wait and see what the future holds, but hopefully, we’ll get more clarity soon.

A New Era

I was let go by WWE way back in 2014, but I managed to make my comeback in 2016 and it turned out to be a game-changing experience for me. I went on to become the WWE Champion and enjoyed an extended title reign after my return. In an exclusive chat with Chris Van Vliet, I admitted that I’ve come to terms with the possibility that my time with WWE might be over. However, there’s still a tinge of disappointment lurking in the background. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, I’ll have another shot at being a part of that amazing world of professional wrestling once again. (Wrestling Inc.)

Dhesi expressed some disappointment but acknowledged the necessity of passing the torch to new WWE stars like Bron Breakker and Carmelo. He mentioned his upcoming engagements, including starting the year with The Rock and a title match, as well as WrestleMania week and a two-segment match with Tozawa on Main Event. Despite feeling frustrated, Dhesi recognized that he had accomplished much during his tenure and was ready to move on to new experiences. In his own words, “It’s time for the next generation, and I’m excited for them.”

“I’d love to hear your thoughts on Dhesi’s GCW debut. Feel free to share your wrestling opinions with me on Threads and Twitter @mattaguilarcb!”
