Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace Escapes Ash By Elegance at TNA Slammiversary

As a long-time fan of professional wrestling and someone who has been following TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) for over a decade, I can confidently say that this year’s TNA Slammiversary was nothing short of spectacular. The energy and excitement in the air were palpable as I watched the event unfold from the comfort of my living room.

At TNA’s Slammiversary event, fans were in for a treat with numerous surprises. Fresh champions emerged, and long-absent wrestlers made their comeback after several years. The main attractions were a thrilling six-man elimination match for the TNA World Championship, an intense X-Division Championship bout, and a gripping Knockouts World Title fight. With these exciting matches, TNA sent a clear message to its audience that it’s here to stay. Currently, TNA is working on securing a substantial revenue boost through a television deal, which would significantly enhance their viewership and invigorate their live shows even further. Their collaboration with WWE has also paid off, as they drew a crowd of 4,000 enthusiastic fans in Montreal, Quebec, Canada for Slammiversary.

At the event, Grace entered with determination to dethroned Ash By Elegance, who had been relentlessly pursuing the Knockouts title since her arrival in January. The champion was self-assured, while Ash exuded equal confidence through her flamboyant display. Ash had meticulously prepared for their encounter, effectively thwarting Grace’s moves. The back-and-forth battle intensified until Ash suddenly shifted gears. She attempted a move from the second rope but Grace skillfully countered with a bridge.

Jordynne Grace of the Knockouts Championship performs a Superplex transition into a Juggernaut Jackhammer! (Catch it live on TNA+ during #TNASlammiversary!)

Ash can be seen growing increasingly more frustrated, slapping her and looking to grab her into a crab or sharpshooter but Grace is able to get her down to the mat and put her into a sleeper. Ash rolls over and pins Grace to the mat but she fights out of it. Grace lands a huge lariat to the challenger as Ash goes for several strikes. She nearly gets the pinfall but Grace isn’t letting it go that easily. She gets her up for a powerbomb and transitions right into the Juggernaut Driver for the win.

Does Grace’s impressive title reign of almost 200 days and victories against wrestlers from various leagues, including TNA, WWE, and Tokyo-Joshi Pro Wrestling, make you ponder who could potentially dethrone her? Can she be defeated at all? So far, she has successfully defended her title a total of 13 times. Grace’s tenure ranks among the greats in the Knockouts division, such as Taya Valkyrie, Deonna Purrazzo, Taryn Terrell, Gail Kim, Mickie James, and Angelina Love.
