The Pokemon Company Confirmed as One of Gamescom's "Highlights"

As a long-time Pokemon fan, I’m excited to hear that The Pokemon Company will be making an appearance at Gamescom this August. While it was disappointing to learn that Nintendo won’t be attending, I remain hopeful that we could still get some exciting news about one of my favorite franchises.

As a gamer, I’m excited to hear that The Pokemon Company will be making an appearance at Gamescom this August, despite Nintendo’s absence. This comes as a surprise since there have been rumors circulating for over a year now about the supposed “Switch 2” being showcased at last year’s closed door event. Although we won’t get to see The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom or Mario & Luigi: Brothership, there’s a chance we could still get some news about Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

On Pokemon Day in January, a new Pokemon game titled Pokemon Legends: Z-A was announced with scant details since then. This upcoming game will take players back to the Kalos region featured in Pokemon X and Y, and will reintroduce the Mega Evolution feature. However, we’re still clueless about the game’s narrative or how it might expand upon the storylines from X and Y. Much like Legends: Arceus did with Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, but for now, all we know is that the release is predicted for some time in 2025.

As someone who has been an avid fan of Nintendo games since I was a kid, I’m always excited about new releases, especially when it comes to the Pokemon series. I still remember the thrill of playing the first Pokemon games back in the late 90s, and the anticipation leading up to each new release has only grown with time.

It’s quite likely that the number of Pokemon representations at Gamescom may be limited. The Pokemon Play Lab will certainly be there, allowing visitors to explore the Trading Card Game, as well as Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and Pokemon Unite. However, is Gamescom promoting The Pokemon Company as a major attraction if there’s nothing significant to reveal? It’s an open question. The Pokemon Worlds tournament concludes on August 18th, only three days before Gamescom begins. There’s a possibility that an announcement could be made at Pokemon Worlds, with more details unveiled at Gamescom. With these two events approaching quickly, we can hope for a wealth of information soon!
