As a devoted fan of daytime soap operas, I’m deeply saddened by the loss of esteemed actress Esta TerBlanche. Her passing at the young age of 51 leaves a void in the world of daytime television that cannot be filled.

The soap opera world is in mourning.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Esta TerBlanche, a well-known actress, passed away on July 18th. She was 51 years old.

With great sadness, I must share the news that my dear friend and client, Esta TerBlanche, tragically passed away on Thursday due to natural causes. Her representative, Lisa Rodrigo, made this heartfelt announcement on Facebook on July 20th, adding that an autopsy report is yet to be obtained.

She continued, “I am still processing and in shock. Esta was a beautiful soul in and out. I was proud to know her and work with her. More to come in the days ahead. Thank you for the messages so far. If I haven’t gotten to you, I will soon. May she RIP with the angels that she is.”

According to medical records from the Los Angeles County examiner, obtained by TopMob News, the actress passed away at her Los Angeles residence. The specific cause of her death is currently undisclosed, as investigations are still ongoing. TopMob News has attempted to get a comment from law enforcement regarding the case.

TerBlanche was born in South Africa and started her acting journey there in the 1990s. She graced the screens on the bilingual soap opera “Egoli: Place of Gold” and hosted the popular children’s show named “K-T.V.”

Back in 1997, she first joined “All My Children” and portrayed Hungarian princess Gillian Andrassy. Her presence became a regular feature until her character met her end in 2001. Later on, in the final episode of 2011, she came back as a ghost and crossed paths once more with Cameron Mathison’s character, Ryan Lavery, whom she had married on the show.

Upon my return, the sight of Cameron brought strong emotions for both of us. Our reunion was long-awaited, as we had been apart for several years, making our tearful encounter heartwarmingly poignant. (Soap Opera Digest, interview published July 13, quoted TerBlanche)

TerBlanche, who left the acting world in 2013, had in recent years kept in touch with Mathison.

A well-known actor from “General Hospital,” who frequently interacted with the actress on social media, honored his deceased co-star with a heartfelt tribute.

I, a devoted fan and loyal cast member on “General Hospital,” was deeply saddened to learn of my late costar’s passing. For quite some time, I had enjoyed engaging with her on social media. Now, I want to take a moment to pay tribute to her memory and celebrate the impact she made on our show and in my life.

Posting a picture of the two of them dressed as characters from “All My Children” at their wedding, Mathison captioned, “Rest in peace, my dear princess,” accompanied by a red heart symbol.

He also recalled how TerBlanche, an avid animal lover, supported him when his dog Red was ill.

Posting a picture of them both in costume at their wedding on “All My Children,” Mathison expressed, “Rest in peace, my dear princess,” accompanied by a red heart emoticon.

Additionally, he mentioned that TerBlanche, a passionate animal advocate, stood by his side during Red’s cancer fight. Sadly, the actor’s beloved dog passed away in December.

Last year, when Red was ill and unable to move, leaving me in a difficult situation, Esta provided assistance. Her kindness stands out as one of the most memorable. (Alongside a selfie of me with the actress) #Grateful.
