As a dedicated fan and follower of Claim to Fame, I’ve grown particularly fond of contestant Dedrick’s unique perspective and unwavering confidence. In the latest episode, Dedrick’s reaction to being called “Mr. Jackson” by fellow contestant Naomi took me by surprise. It was a moment that truly showcased his genuine displeasure and defensive nature.
Dedrick is just not a fan of these famous claims.
At the July 24 episode of Claim to Fame on TopMob News, Dedrick and contestant Naomi experience an uncomfortable encounter over breakfast. Naomi addresses Dedrick using the name “Mr. Jackson,” referencing a hint he seemingly shared during their previous conversation.
It’s a greeting that truly takes Dedrick off guard.
During a heartfelt confession, I couldn’t help but express, “Why do you address me as Mr. Jackson? Johnson could be more fitting, I believe. But to me, it’s clear – I bear a strong resemblance to The Rock, isn’t that right?”
However, according to Dedrick, there were even more guesses that took him by surprise.
I’d rather be compared to Jay-Z than Little Richard, I insist to Naomi, correcting Adam’s earlier guess about my famous relative. I strongly dislike being associated with Little Richard and would prefer you call me by the esteemed name of Jay-Z instead.
Despite the teasing laughter from his roommates, Adam pondered over why Dedrick took offense to this statement.
In his confession, Adam expresses that the person elicited an unusually uncomfortable response from He, implying two possibilities: either there’s no affection for that individual or they share a family connection in the limelight.
But it didn’t stop there.
At the breakfast table, Dedrick requests, “Please call me Little Richard instead,” adding, “You wouldn’t say Idris Elba or similar names.” Regarding Adam, he mentioned, “He is often referred to as handsome.”
But for Adam, the defensive moment just further proves his hunch.
“Adam is confident: ‘This man is undeniably Little Richard.’ With the piano present, he believes this icon is the pioneer of Rock n’ Roll. Yet, he admits his past assumptions have been incorrect, leaving him feeling quite perplexed and unsure of his current reality.”
