I’ve always been fascinated by the behind-the-scenes lives of reality TV stars, and the El Moussa family is no exception. From Tarek, the famous Flip or Flop host, to his sisters Stacie and Jessica who found fame on The Hills and Vanderpump Rules, it’s clear that this family has a rich television history.
Tarek El Moussa says this rumor is a total flop.
On Instagram Stories on July 22, the HGTV host put up a picture of a “Bittersweet Lane” sign. Fans speculated if this was connected to his ex-wife’s, Christina Hall, recent divorce from Josh Hall.
Now, Tarek is setting the record straight.
He posted on his Instagram Story on July 23, “This has no connection to Christina,” he explained, as he shared a picture of an intriguing article alongside it. While on a stroll, he came across an appealing house and its unique street name that caught his attention.
The 42-year-old man, now married to Heather Rae El Moussa, asked fans to cease sending harmful messages and expressed his gratitude instead.
Based on my personal experience and understanding of relationships, it seems that Tarek’s recent clarification about his marital status comes at a time when Christina and her husband have both filed for divorce after two years of marriage. From what I’ve observed in my own life and through the experiences of others, the end of a marriage can be a complex and emotional process. Irreconcilable differences are often cited as the reason for such splits, suggesting deep-rooted issues that may have gone unaddressed for some time. It takes courage for both parties to make the decision to move on separately and start anew. I can only imagine the challenges they must be facing during this difficult time.
In his divorce petition dated July 15, which TopMob News acquired, Josh asked for spousal support. Contrarily, Christina’s petition contained a request for the court to end its power to grant alimony to her.
An earlier disagreement existed between the ex-pair concerning the division of their marital assets. In her petition, Christina from “Christina on the Coast” proposed postponing the asset distribution decision for a later time. Contrastingly, Josh requested an equal split of all assets acquired throughout their marriage, excluding those obtained via gifts or inheritance.
I’m a lifestyle expert and I understand that sometimes personal matters can be complex and difficult to navigate in public. Regarding Josh and Christina, who are parents to Taylor, 13, Brayden, 8, with Tarek, and Hudson, 4, with ex Ant Anstead, neither of them has shared any official statement about their split yet. Despite the rumors and speculations, they have chosen to keep their personal lives private for now.
According to a reliable source, Josh won’t be joining Tarek and Heather for their upcoming HGTV project named “The Flip Off,” despite initial plans. The production is set to move forward without him.
Prior to the news of her breakup, Christina had shared insight into her feelings about the project.
She expressed to TopMob News on July 2 that there are many bold characters present. In other words, she was certain, not just thinking, but acknowledging the existence of numerous personalities and complex interactions among them, which promises an engaging experience. Admittedly, she admitted feeling somewhat apprehensive, but also excited.

Christina and Tarek welcomed their first child together on Sept. 22, 2010.
After their divorce, they both took on the role of caring for their daughter. This little girl, as Christina puts it, exhibits a mature understanding of life at times but can also revert to her childlike ways.
“Taylor excels at engaging anyone in a chat, no matter the place,” she noted. “She’s full of amusement, intelligence, athleticism, joy, and never fails to surprise us.”
Christina and Tarek welcomed their second child together on Aug. 20, 2015.
After their divorce, Tarek and his ex-wife have jointly taken care of their youngest son Brayden, in addition to their elder child Taylor. Previously, Tarek has referred to Brayden as a bundle of energy and a kind-hearted boy with an enormous heart.
“Tarek expressed, ‘This boy brings an indescribable amount of brightness to my days.’ I’m grateful each day for being their father and watching him grow is a source of endless happiness for me.”
Approximately one year after making their separation from Tarek official, Christina began dating Ant, a British TV host, in October 2017. They made their relationship public in January 2018, which was also the month that Christina’s divorce from Tarek was finalized. The couple then got married in a winter-themed wedding at their Newport Beach, California home on December 22, 2018.
Christina and Anthony, who have daughter Amelie and son Archie from his previous marriage to Louise Storey, had their first child as a couple, a son named Hudson, in the year 2019.
The couple had been married for under two years when they announced their separation in September 2020. They completed their divorce proceedings approximately nine months after that.
Since the split, Ant has moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.
Christina and Ant’s son was born on September 6, 2019, tipping the scales at 7 pounds and 7 ounces and measuring 19.5 inches long.)
Ant filed for full custody of Hudson in April 2022 despite the legal and physical shared custody agreement reached during their divorce in June 2021. He alleged in court papers that his ex-spouse had custody for approximately 9 full days a month.
In reaction to the filing, Christina expressed her disappointment to TopMob News over Ant’s actions. She believed that if his intentions were truly about Hudson, as claimed, then the matter should have been resolved confidentially through a private judge or mediation, as suggested by herself and her legal representative. Regardless of past challenges, Christina emphasized her role as a loving mother who would safeguard her children.
Tarek encountered Heather Rae, a well-known star from “Selling Sunset,” on the Fourth of July in 2019. Their boats were docked next to each other at Newport Beach Marina in California. In late July, they were seen sharing a kiss on a yacht. Tarek subsequently confirmed their relationship to TopMob News in August, expressing, “I wouldn’t have believed it myself if someone told me this a year ago, but the stunning Heather Rae is now my girlfriend.”
In July 2020, the couple announced their engagement. Then, on October 23, 2021, they tied the knot in a heartfelt outdoor wedding ceremony, located near Santa Barbara, California. They exchanged their marriage vows during this romantic event.
Heather frequently describes herself as the unofficial mother figure to Tarek’s older children, Taylor and Brayden. In her own words to TopMob News, she shared, “I truly feel like I have two children of my own.” She and Tarek share custody of these kids fifty percent of the time. Heather is deeply devoted to them, nurturing them as if they were her own offspring, expressing great affection for them.
On January 31, 2023, Tarek and Heather welcomed the arrival of their newborn son who weighed in at a healthy 7 pounds and 7 ounces.
According to Heather, Tristan was meant to be the name given to the baby, but ultimately his parents ended up calling him Tarek instead.
His middle name is a nod to Heather’s dad.
Christina ended her marriage with her second spouse Ant before the start of 2021. Subsequently, she started seeing Josh around that year. They made their relationship known to the public in July of that same year. Christina shared that they had been an item for several months prior to their public announcement.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase that as follows: I once met Josh, a certified realtor, during the beautiful spring season when my mind was in a calm and reflective state. At that point in my life, I had decided to take a break from social media, seek guidance from a spiritual coach, and even tried the unconventional practice of consuming the secretions of a Bufo toad to help reset my brain and gain fresh perspective.
Christina and Josh got engaged that September and tied the knot on Oct. 6, 2021.
I couldn’t believe it when I finally learned that the big day was set for July 15, 2024. Up until then, their wedding date had been a mystery to me and all their devoted fans. But then, out of the blue, Josh filed for divorce, revealing the secret we had all been waiting for. The reason given was irreconcilable differences between them.
Before the home renovation project aired on the July 11, 2024 episode of “Christina on the Coast,” she rarely disclosed much about her past, mostly showing only brief glimpses of her parents in their role as grandparents.
In 2019, I excitedly posted on Instagram that my family and Tarek’s would unite at our favorite tradition: attending Taylor’s Christmas concert at her school. We’d all sit together, soaking in the holiday magic as she graced the stage with her beautiful performance.
She noted that a few individuals expressed their appreciation for this situation, recognizing that many divorced couples (including Tarek’s parents) do the same thing, making it simpler for everyone involved. Furthermore, Taylor’s face brightens up when she sees us all seated together in unity, cheering her on.
While Josh gained public attention due to his relationship with Christina, his sisters had already become famous during the 2000s.
Stacie, known to some as “Stacie the Bartender,” was well-known for being the object of Spencer Pratt’s advances during their time on “The Hills.” She gained further recognition when she featured as one of Scheana Shay’s bridesmaids in season three of “Vanderpump Rules.”
Jessica, the ex-Playboy model, frequently appeared on various shows including “The Hills,” “The Girls Next Door,” “Kendra,” “Kendra on Top,” and “Kendra Sells Hollywood,” to support her friend Kendra Wilkinson.
Angelique, Tarek’s elder sister, runs Latitude 33 Hair Artistry in Anaheim, California. She bought one of the houses that Tarek and Christina flipped on “Flip or Flop” back in 2014. Later, they collaborated on a digital series for HGTV in 2019.
Tarek El Moussa’s mom, Dominique, is no longer with Tarek’s father, whose identity he hasn’t revealed. Dominique is now married to Robert, who affectionately refers to her as “my beloved” in his Instagram posts.
I’ve always gone by a name different from my father’s, yet in a Facebook update last November, I celebrated his milestone of turning 70 years old.
“The bond between a father and his kids is priceless. I’m grateful for having a father who encouraged and inspired me, making me believe I could conquer the world. This photo commemorates our family’s birthday celebrations for him. I owe much of my success to my dad’s unwavering support. I will carry his teachings forward, instilling them in my own children.”
During an conversation with Country Living, Tarek shared that his father was born and raised Catholic in the Middle Eastern countries of Lebanon and Egypt. Later in life, he encountered Tarek’s mother, who hails from Belgium, while they were both teenagers in Europe.
