Deadpool & Wolverine: Avengers Campus Reveals First Look

As a huge fan of both Marvel movies and theme parks, I couldn’t be more excited for Deadpool’s arrival at Disney’s California Adventure! The anticipation is building with each passing day as we get closer to July 26, when Deadpool will make his grand entrance to Anaheim. And for those of us who can’t wait any longer, he’ll already be greeting visitors in Disneyland Paris starting on July 24.

Starting next week, Deadpool and Wolverine will be joining Disney’s California Adventure! Deadpool is set to debut in Disneyland Paris’ Avengers Campus on July 24, followed by his arrival in Anaheim on July 26. The excitement surrounding the new MCU blockbuster, Deadpool & Wolverine, is palpable as it gathers steam at the box office, with projected opening weekend earnings of approximately $370 million. With such a large movie-going crowd, fans visiting Avengers Campus will be thrilled to meet Deadpool in person. Marvel Studios and their parent company have thoughtfully planned this out, ensuring that Deadpool’s antics will be available for everyone to enjoy soon.

At Instagram, the parks announced, “Deadpool can’t resist the allure of Disney! Find him temporarily at Avengers Campus in Disneyland from July 26 and at Disneyland Paris starting July 24. #DisneyCaliforniaAdventure” Therefore, Deadpool is expected to make an appearance at Disneyland California Adventure and Disneyland itself for a brief period. Evidently, they are quite optimistic about the success of this film.

How Did Deadpool Get To Avengers Campus?

Fans may be curious as to how Deadpool ended up here. I had the opportunity to speak with Walt Disney Imagineering about creating this enchanting spot at California Adventure. Through numerous discussions with the designers and architects, we discovered that the Marvel Universe in the park differs from the MCU portrayed on the big screen.

“Comic books and movies offer a wealth of variations for the multiverse and its characters, with Avengers: Endgame allowing us to explore time travel and create a new timeline. According to Jillian Pagan from Walt Disney Imagineering, our park activation reflects this concept. Before the events of Endgame, both timelines had a common history.”

In other words, Loki seized the Tesseract and went off to do things differently in an alternate timeline. Yet, our histories will intertwine as we progress, creating a flexible timeline. Consequently, there are characters in this multiverse who didn’t make the same sacrifices as in our reality – they’re still alive and eagerly invite you to their world.
