Concord Will Have 12 Maps at Launch, No Battle Pass

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of open betas and launches. The hype surrounding Firewalk Studios’ Concord has been palpable, and the recent beta was an exciting glimpse into this upcoming title. Now that the beta phase is over, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and curiosity as we inch closer to the official launch on August 23rd for PS5 and PC.

The trial period for Firewalk Studios’ game “Concord” has come to an end, signaling the final push towards its official release. A fresh FAQ following the beta testing has been released, detailing what players can anticipate upon launch. Among the highlights are the inclusion of twelve maps in total, five of which were previously accessible during the beta phase, and the availability of all six game modes.

Firewalk guarantees that its roster will expand “shortly after launch” through “consistent post-release seasons and updates.” These additions will include fresh characters, maps, and other features. The customization options showcased during the beta were merely “a small preview” of what’s to come in the game. Players can expect to unlock “numerous items” for customizing their Freegunners just by progressing in the game. Rest assured, all these cosmetic enhancements have no impact on gameplay.

As a long-time fan of this gaming community, I’m both excited and intrigued by the new direction the developers are taking with their latest announcement. Based on my personal experience, I’ve come to expect that some game items will only be accessible after completing jobs or challenges, and leveling up my account and characters. This approach adds an element of accomplishment and progression that keeps me engaged in the game.

Concord launches on August 23rd for PS5 and PC. Check out our impressions here.
