Kamille Attacks Britt Baker and Teams Up with Mercedes Mone in AEW Debut

As a longtime fan of AEW, tonight’s episode of Dynamite was absolutely electric with Britt Baker making her highly anticipated return to the ring against Hikaru Shida. The tension between these two rivals was palpable from the get-go, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire match.

At tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Britt Baker made her highly anticipated return to the ring against her formidable foe, Hikaru Shida. Initially, Shida held the upper hand, but Baker managed to endure and eventually turned the tables, securing the victory. However, just as it seemed the story would conclude, Mercedes Mone emerged to dash any hopes of a TBS Championship match at All In. The surprise didn’t end there; Kamille made her debut in AEW by seemingly siding with Mone against Baker. Kamille applied the torture rack on Baker and tossed her to the ground, with Mone following suit to close the segment. It appears that the CEO has acquired a new enforcer.

A Classic Rivalry

In the beginning of the match, Baker and Shida grappled with each other and exchanged roll-ups and counters. However, as the action moved outside the ring, Shida gained the upper hand. She slammed Baker into the barricade and tossed him into a corner chair. Following this, Shida rained down blows on Baker’s head. Next, she maneuvered Baker onto the ring apron and delivered a brutal knee strike to his head, giving Shida full command of the match.

At this stage of the match, Shida aimed to secure the victory by applying a submission hold on Baker. However, Baker refused to give in. In response, Shida pushed Baker against the corner turnbuckle. But Baker quickly recovered and counterattacked, only to be stopped by Shida once more. Next, Baker escaped under the bottom rope and executed a neck breaker. Subsequently, Baker delivered a powerful Sling Blade that left Shida lying on the mat.

In the wrestling match, Baker prepared for a move called lockjaw using his glove. However, Shida stepped in and delivered a powerful kick to Baker’s abdomen instead. A suplex ensued, leading Shida to attempt an armbar hold. Baker tried to counter, but Shida switched to a guillotine choke. After that, Shida launched a knee strike followed by climbing the ropes for an attack. However, she missed her mark and received a kick to the head in return. Both competitors then exchanged heavy strikes and kicks, leaving them both lying on the mat.

As a gamer, I observed as Shida countered Baker’s move once again, leading to a close call with both of us nearly going down. However, neither of us managed to secure a pin. Determined to gain the upper hand, I attempted to lift Baker, but she swiftly retaliated with an armbar attempt. I managed to escape by using the ropes for leverage. Pondering my next move, I considered grabbing the kendo stick, but ultimately decided against it. In a sudden turn of events, Baker executed a neck breaker into a pin, but my quick reflexes allowed me to kick out before the three count. With renewed energy, I struck back with a question mark kick followed by a Falcon Arrow. However, Baker countered with another kick and locked me in the Lockjaw submission hold. Unfortunately for me, I had no choice but to tap out.

The New Muscle

At Mercedes Mone’s unexpected appearance, Baker missed out on her moment of triumph. “Impressive performance, Britt,” Mone praised. “You’ve been eyeing a match against me at All In, and nothing beats CEO versus DMD,” she added. “But I must decline your invitation.”

If Kamille has indeed become Mone’s new enforcer, then Baker’s quest for the TBS Championship becomes significantly more challenging. As a fan, I’m eagerly anticipating further information about Kamille’s allegiance with Mone, which is set to unfold this week. For those who have witnessed Kamille’s power in NWA, it’s clear that she’s a formidable force. Her addition to the Women’s Division will undoubtedly strengthen an already impressive roster.
