I’ve had the pleasure of observing some truly beautiful love stories unfold throughout my years as a news anchor, but none have left me as captivated as that of Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello. Theirs is a tale of two people who, once they met, couldn’t get enough of each other.

The actor from “True Blood,” who recently discussed the role children played in his split with ex-partner Sofía Vergara, expressed his views on potentially becoming a father in the future.
“Joe mentioned on the July 24th Podcrushed podcast that it was for sure going to be addressed at some point in the future,” or “During the July 24 episode of Podcrushed, Joe casually mentioned that this matter would come up eventually.”
According to Joe, who is in a relationship with Caitlin O’Connor at present, the idea of becoming a father had always been a possibility.
He mentioned that it was a topic of conversation at every life phase. It was an important matter in every significant relationship I had.
Instead, Joe mentioned upfront that he harbored a long-standing desire to become a father and playfully quipped about having “plentiful dad vibes.”
“I think I have a lot to give,” he continued, “in that department.”
Recently, Joe expressed his thoughts on being a parent, following closely his previous statements about the conclusion of his seven-year union with Sofia.
The Modern Family actor contradicted earlier reports that his character’s off-screen relationship ended due to disagreements over having kids, stating, “That isn’t accurate.”
He shared with Men’s Journal in an interview on July 16 that for the initial 18 months of their relationship, they attempted to start a family. From our very first date, we had a significant discussion about children during the first month. I expressed, “If you’ve made up your mind against having kids, then I can accept that truthfully. Please let me know, and I will understand where this relationship stands.”
He added, “And I swore to her that I would never leave if it didn’t work out. And I didn’t.”
In their own words, the Magic Mike actor explained that they eventually went separate ways because “people can grow apart and that’s just a part of life.”
More recently, Sofia shared that her split from Justin Saliman, an orthopedic surgeon, was finalized this year. She mentioned in her statement that their differing views on having children had led to the end of their relationship.
In my experience, I found myself at a crossroads in my marriage when it came to starting a family. My husband, being younger than I, was eager to begin this new chapter of our lives together. However, the thought of having children later in life didn’t appeal to me. I believe it’s essential to consider what’s best for everyone involved, and in this situation, I felt that starting a family at my age wouldn’t be fair to the child. Though I admire those who choose this path, it’s no longer an option for me personally.
