Abigail Anderson Berard, Taylor’s childhood friend, has recently announced her pregnancy with her husband, Charles Berard. And just like Taylor, Abigail chose to make a nod to their shared past for the special announcement.

Due to the exciting news that Taylor Swift’s longtime friend Abigail Anderson Berard is expecting their first child with her spouse Charles Berard. Unsurprisingly, Abigail drew inspiration from Taylor when making the pregnancy announcement.
In honor of the song “But Daddy I Love Him” from The Tortured Poets Department, Abigail titled her July 24 Instagram post as, “I’m expecting a baby…” or “I’m carrying a baby…”, conveying the same idea in a clear and natural way.
Although Taylor’s song continues with “No, I’m not,” Abigail indeed is, as evident from her social media post. Her expanding baby bump is on full display in the image where she enjoys some Cheez-Its at 34 years old.
In the caption, a blue heart functions as a hint, following Taylor’s characteristic style, about the gender of the upcoming baby.
Among the congratulatory messages from Taylor’s famous friends, such as Kelleigh Teller and Lily Aldridge, was a heartfelt comment from Charles. He expressed his joy by writing on his wife’s post, “I’ve never been more pleased to be mentioned in a post.”
Approximately two years after their September 2022 wedding, news about Abigail and Charles has emerged. Although it’s unclear if Taylor was present at their ceremony, she previously served as a bridesmaid for Abigail when she married Matt Lucier in 2017. However, they divorced four years later.
In reality, Abigail and Taylor have been friends much longer than people might think. For those in the know, like Swifties, they first crossed paths in high school, an event memorialized in the song “Fifteen.”
In one of her songs from the 2008 album “Fearless,” Taylor sings about how she becomes friends with a red-haired girl named Abigail. They share laughter and find amusement in the supposedly cool girls around them. The two friends look forward to leaving the class setting as soon as possible.
And in true teen fashion, both girls experienced heartbreaks that only brought them closer.
In the past, I firmly believed I would marry that man one day / But I discovered larger aspirations of my own. / Abigail sacrificed all she had / For a boy who reneged on his promise / And we both shed tears.
The pair, however, have come a long way since then and their friendship remains as strong as ever.
Last year on Abigail’s 33rd birthday, Taylor was there with her, paying tribute to their past in a heartfelt way.
Beneath a charming photo of them both laughing on the floor in May 2023, Abigail wrote as her caption, “When you’re… thirty-three.”
