As an avid fan of both Jeff Goldblum and Greek mythology, I am absolutely thrilled to see the actor bring his unique charisma and talent to the role of Zeus in the upcoming Netflix series, KAOS. The teaser for the ambitious retelling of the Greek gods has only heightened my anticipation, as it offers a fresh take on the classic myths with Goldblum’s irreverent and mischievous portrayal of Zeus.
KAOS is almost upon us in the form of Jeff Goldblum’s irreverent new Netflix series.
Charli Covell’s long-awaited reinterpretation of Greek mythology, featuring Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, the mighty ruler of the gods, has unveiled its first trailer after years in production.
The teaser opens with Zeus stating, “Humans fail to fear or pay homage to me when they’re not frightened,” as he surveys a collection of disaster headlines on his wall, finding amusement while observing the world go up in flames on television.
He gleefully tells an uninterested wife Hera (played by Janet McTeer): “Look what we’ve done!”
Some people, such as President Minos of Olympia (portrayed by Stanley Townsend), appear deeply devoted to the gods. In contrast, Riddy (Aurora Perrineau) expresses skepticism, exclaiming, “The gods? They don’t care a bit about us. I reject them!”
Zeus thunderously declares, “I will eradicate these beings from the Earth entirely,” as he launches a devastating attack against mankind.
So, nothing to worry about, right?

In the upcoming series, Goldblum’s character will reportedly show a different facet. The actor himself hinted to Tudum, “This role comes with complexity, charm, and a cruel edge.”

I’ve been eagerly anticipating this series since Netflix announced its production back in 2018. Originally, Hugh Grant was set to star in the leading role, but due to scheduling conflicts, he had to step down and Seth Rogen took over. Despite the change in casting, my excitement for this show hasn’t waned one bit. It’s been a long journey, but I can’t wait to finally see it come to life on screen.
