As a long-time wrestling fan and avid gamer of WWE, I’ve seen my fair share of intense feuds between wrestlers. But Drew McIntyre’s ongoing beef with CM Punk has truly stood out to me for its intensity and personal nature. McIntyre’s actions at the Royal Rumble this year, resulting in Punk’s triceps injury, were a clear indication that there were no lines he wouldn’t cross in their feud.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: During my intense rivalry with CM Punk, there’s no line I won’t cross. Back in January, just before the WWE Royal Rumble, we faced off in the ring. I used that opportunity to vent about our long-standing beef. When the time came for the Royal Rumble match, I dealt Punk a Future Shock DDT, which unfortunately resulted in him sustaining a torn triceps. I took full responsibility for that injury, even boasting that “I prayed for this and it happened.” Over the ensuing six months, I’ve relentlessly taunted Punk on Monday Night Raw and social media, often reminding him of his controversial past with AEW.

CM Punk’s History With Jack Perry Explained
From one point of view, Jack Perry is the reason that CM Punk was fired from AEW.
The tale kicks off around early Summer 2023. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debuted a fresh primetime offering called “AEW Collision,” which aired every Saturday. Although not intentionally, the initial episodes of “AEW Collision” showcased an unofficial roster division, led by CM Punk. To prevent potential conflicts within the organization, Punk was assigned exclusively to “AEW Collision.” This way, he wouldn’t interfere with Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks on “AEW Dynamite.”
One week ago, Jack Perry, also known as Jungle Boy, went to AEW Collision to film a backstage segment for an upcoming AEW show. This allowed him to take a planned vacation later. However, during the filming, Perry was supposed to break through a real car windshield. But Punk stepped in, expressing worry over potential injuries. An argument ensued between the two, resulting in a heated exchange.
Weeks past, Perry faced off against former adversary Hook at the AEW ALL IN: London event. Their confrontation commenced up the ramp and continued onto the stage, where a car was conveniently positioned. At a certain instant, Perry pounded on the car’s windshield, gazed into the camera, and quipped, “This is real glass. Go ahead, shed some tears.”
Following the conclusion of their match, Perry encountered Punk behind the scenes. This time, their dispute escalated into a violent altercation. Perry shoved Punk, leading Punk to retaliate by choking Perry. The entire incident was broadcasted on an episode of “AEW Dynamite” several months ago. Shortly after “AEW ALL IN: London,” AEW President Tony Khan terminated Punk for cause. However, Punk rejoined WWE that November.
