Destiny 2: The Final Shape’s Exotic Class Items Will Become Easier to Farm in Early August

As a seasoned Destiny 2 player with countless hours under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of challenges and updates. The release of “Destiny 2: The Final Shape” brought excitement with the introduction of Exotic Class items through the Dual Destiny mission. However, obtaining the perfect roll proved to be more elusive than expected for many players, including myself.

After the launch of “Destiny 2: The Final Shape,” Bungie introduced new Exotic Class items through a mission called “Dual Destiny.” These items offered powerful build customization for specific Prismatic classes, but getting the ideal version can be challenging. Due to the extended length of the Exotic mission, some gamers opted for exploiting a chest farming method in The Pale Heart instead.

In the latest “This Week in Destiny” update from Bungie, it was announced that the drop mechanism for Exotic Class items from the patrol area is being altered. Overthrow chests now offer a greater probability of dropping these items, with the likelihood increasing based on the size of the open chest (larger chests yielding the best rewards). This enhanced chance also extends to The Pale Heart’s cooperative missions and Lost Sectors.

In the meantime, standard chests will less frequently reward Exotic-class items. Dual Destiny will offer an extra weekly drop for each character. Regarding concerns about obtaining Exotic Class items in other aspects, Bungie acknowledged they are aware and plan to keep an eye on the situation after implementing these adjustments.
