As a long-time Marvel fan and avid follower of casting news, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard the official announcement of the Fantastic Four cast. With Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, Marvel Studios has truly outdone themselves in selecting talented and versatile actors for these iconic roles.
At San Diego Comic-Con on July 27th, Marvel enthusiasts were treated to their initial sneak peek of the Fantastic Four’s star-studded cast: Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach unexpectedly graced the stage.
Back in February, it was officially announced that Pascal would take on the role of Reed Richards, while Vanessa Kirby was cast as the Invisible Woman, Sue Storm, and Joseph Quinn as her brother Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch.
Completing the group is Ebon Moss-Bachrach from “The Bear,” who takes on the role of Ben Grimm, also known as The Thing.
At Comic-Con, the cast members Pascal, Kirby, Moss-Bachrach, and Quinn made an entrance following a captivating preview video, eliciting deafening cheers from the audience.
At first, Matt Shakman, the director, informed fans that the actors wouldn’t be present, as production was scheduled to begin in the UK on Monday.
At the panel, according to Deadline, Pascal expressed his enthusiasm for becoming a part of this cinematic world by mentioning, “I’m really looking forward to being part of this new film family.”
Moss-Bachrach described his experience as yet to fully grasp the task of donning Ben Grimm’s superhero costume. He shared that he received an enlightening text message from Mark Ruffalo regarding the motion capture process.
As a film enthusiast, I can tell you that during our rehearsals for the movie, Kirby and Quinn formed an incredible connection, just like real-life siblings on screen. I’ve never laughed so hard during the preparation process before! When we read the comics, we’re filled with happiness – let’s aim to bring that same joy and excitement to life in our film.

As a devoted cinephile, I’d describe it this way: I once came across an intriguing character in a Marvel comic book. She went by the name Shalla-Bal, but you might know her better as the Silver Surfer. Hailing from the enchanting planet Zenn-La, she held a significant role in the cosmos. Her duty was to serve as a herald for Galactus, an ominous being with the power to consume entire planets.
In the comic books, Norrin Radd was the initial Silver Surfer, hailing from a planet where his beloved was Shalla-Bal.
In addition to her acclaimed performance as Ruth Langmore in Ozark, Julia Garner has acted in various films such as The Assistant and The Royal Hotel.
