Starfield’s Second Expansion Could be Called Starborn – Rumour

As a hardcore gamer with thousands of hours logged across various genres, I’ve grown accustomed to the rhythm of expansions and updates that follow major game releases. The anticipation, the excitement, and sometimes even the disappointment when the next installment falls short of expectations. And now, as a seasoned fan of Bethesda’s immersive RPGs, I find myself eagerly awaiting the first expansion for Starfield: Shattered Space.

The initial expansion for Starfield, named Shattered Space, is expected to drop later in the year. Bethesda Game Studios, the developer, has hinted at more expansions in the coming years, even aiming for an annual release. Although details about future expansion titles are scarce with Shattered Space yet to be launched, a possible hint has surfaced.

Twitter user @bogorad222 identified a new trademark registration by ZeniMax Media for “Starborn.” This filing, submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office earlier in March, is intended for video game software development. While the application doesn’t provide specifics, it’s speculated that “Starborn” could be the title of the upcoming Starfield expansion.

NOTE: Starfield spoilers follow.

In the final chapters of “Starfield,” it comes to light that the Starborn are a mysterious collective of powerful beings with the capacity to traverse different universes and dimensions. If, as suggested, “Starborn” refers to the upcoming expansion of this space-exploration RPG, then these entities are expected to significantly influence the storyline based on the trademark application and assuming it is indeed for the next DLC the game will receive.

Spoilers end.

In the upcoming expansion of “Starfield: Shattered Space,” players will be introduced to a completely new planet and given a fresh storyline centered around House Va’ruun. According to director Todd Howard, the scale of this expansion, as well as future expansions, is expected to be on par with “Fallout 4: Far Harbor.”

As a long-time fan of space exploration and strategy games, I’m thrilled to my core that “Starfield: Shattered Space” is finally coming out this year for Xbox Series X/S and PC. I’ve been eagerly waiting for this title, and the anticipation has been building up inside me like a volcano ready to erupt.
