Autumn Nelon Streetman Speaks Out After Family Dies in Plane Crash

As a devoted fan of The Nelons, I am absolutely heartbroken by the tragic news that has recently unfolded. Autumn Nelon Streetman‘s heartfelt message of gratitude and her family’s unspeakable loss have left me in a state of deep sadness.

Autumn Nelon Streetman is opening up about a terrible tragedy.

After the unfortunate incident where her mother Kelly Nelon Clark, stepfather Jason Clark, sister Amber Kistler, and four others lost their lives in a private plane crash, Autumn, who is expecting a baby boy with her husband Jamie Streetman, expressed her gratitude to the fans of The Nelons’ gospel group.

Autumn expressed her gratitude for the prayers she, her husband Jamie, and their upcoming baby have received from you all. She and her family are thankful for your ongoing prayers, love, and support during this challenging time. (Dan and Linda Clark mentioned for clarity)

On July 26th, Kelly, aged 64, and the couple Jason and Amber, both 35, along with Nathan Kistler, 34, who was Amber’s husband, Melodi Hodges, the band assistant, Larry Haynie, a pilot, and his wife Melissa Haynie, all met with tragedy when their plane crashed in a secluded region of Wyoming.

As an obsessed fan, I’d put it this way: I, along with Autumn (pregnant and in her third trimester), and her beloved husband Jamie Streetman, had each made our separate journeys to the enchanting city of Seattle. Our shared excitement for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska, where we’d be treated to breathtaking performances by our cherished family, had brought us together on this magical adventure.

Based on flight data obtained by TopMob News, the Nelon family’s small, single-engine Pilatus PC-12 plane took off from Georgia early on July 26th and subsequently landed in Nebraska City, Nebraska.

Later in the afternoon, the plane took off once more with a scheduled stop in Billings, Montana. The exact cause of the crash is currently under investigation by both the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration. The incident occurred in a secluded region near Gillette, Wyoming. Preliminary reports from the NTSB suggest that there was a problem with the autopilot system during the flight.

TopMob News reached out to the NTSB regarding the crash but has not yet heard back.

The Gaither Management Group, in charge of The Nelons, reported on their social media platform on July 27 about an incident that involved Autumn, who is the sole remaining band member, and Jamie. They also provided information on their current condition.

The statement shares that artists, including Bill and Gloria Gaither, welcomed Autumn and Jamie at a hotel for comfort and prayer during their time of sorrow. They vowed to help them with any requirements in the future. For now, Autumn and Jamie will go back home to Todd Nelon and Rhonda to tackle the upcoming challenges. Please remember to pray for the Kistler family, Haynie family, and Melodi Hodges’ family during this difficult period.
