Madden NFL 25 Reveals First 99 Club Member

As a die-hard Madden NFL fan, I’m thrilled to see the annual “Ratings Week” finally arrive! The anticipation and excitement have been building up for weeks as Electronic Arts has been teasing us with hints about this year’s top players. And today, they dropped the wide receivers and safeties rankings, revealing Tyreek Hill as the first member of Club 99 in Madden NFL 25!

Over the last seven days, Electronic Arts developers have been building anticipation among fans for the commencement of “Ratings Week” in Madden NFL 25. True to their word, the team unveiled the ratings for wide receivers and safeties today, revealing the inaugural member of the esteemed Club 99. This exclusive group is comprised of the best players in the game, who are granted a perfect 99 Overall Rating (OVR). In the previous year, five individuals made the cut to begin the season: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald, Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Contrasting last year’s selections, the first Madden NFL 25 Club 99 inductee is a wide receiver, but it’s not Jefferson who holds this distinction. Instead, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has taken center stage.

As an avid NFL fan, I wasn’t taken aback by the switch. Last season, Jefferson was phenomenal but hampered by injuries, limiting him to just 10 games. Despite this, he managed over 1,000 yards receiving, but Hill surpassed that with a staggering nearly 1,800 yards and added 13 touchdowns. This year, the 24-year-old Jefferson aims to reclaim his position at the top, partnering with rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy. However, Hill will be tough to beat, especially considering his blazing speed rating of 99. Here’s the comprehensive rundown of the Top 10 best wide receivers and safeties in Madden NFL 25:
