As a long-time fan of Emmerdale, I’ve grown fond of the characters and their intertwining storylines. Lately, Amelia Spencer has been at the center of my attention, with her constant worry over Samson’s plea hearing and its impact on her daughter Esther.
Next week, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgson) experiences a shocking double revelation. Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) will confess to two major secrets, while John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) is set to make his first appearance.
In other places, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) continues to act, leaving Samson Dingle’s (Sam Hall) future uncertain.
1. After some recent occurrences, Kim Tate (Claire King) grapples with their consequences. However, we’re left wondering about the fate of Rose Jackson (Christine Tremarco).
Additionally, Mandy Dinge (Lisa Riley), in an effort to deal with her financial struggles, comes up with a fresh scheme. On the other hand, Jimmy King (Nick Miles) could come to regret bringing father-in-law Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower) on board.

5 Emmerdale spoilers next week
1. Brotherly shock for Victoria Sugden
1. Upon learning that Pollard was behind Victoria’s dismissal from The Hide, a surprised Brenda Walker (played by Lesley Dunlop) commands him to rectify the situation immediately.
Pollard gives Vic a job in his store without admitting any wrongdoing. Vic is thankful, but Brenda is shocked that Pollard hasn’t confessed yet.
Due to Brenda’s persistence, Pollard begins to feel an increasing sense of remorse. He eventually confesses to Vic that he had coerced Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) into letting go of Brenda from her job.
Victoria expresses her anger towards Pollard for leaving her financially destitute. Pollard attempts to justify himself, but Victoria is too distraught and unwilling to forgive his actions.
When she tries to confide in Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), he’s too preoccupied with someone on his phone to listen properly. When Aaron tells Vic how she can use the situation to her advantage, she’s left thoughtful.
As I watched the movie unfold, I found myself rooting for Pollard as he faced an unexpected predicament: his car giving out on him, leaving him stranded and unable to make it to his old friend’s funeral. Fortunately, Victoria stepped in to offer a helping hand, driving him all the way to the church.
Pollard hesitantly reveals that John might be Victoria’s half-brother, born from their late father Jack Sugden (Clive Hornby)’s previous relationship. Meanwhile, Mackenzie Boyd leaves the garage to attend to an emergency vehicle issue.
Upon returning to the village, Pollard and Victoria discover that John’s vehicle has malfunctioned on the spot, which delights Victoria to see him once more. The question remains, however: Is John a decent individual despite his knack for stirring up trouble with the locals?
2. Will Samson Dingle go to prison?
Moira openly displays her disdain towards Samson, but he eventually gathers the courage to confront Josh Cope (Osian Morgan). However, later on, Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia (Karen Blick) are shocked when Samson gets taken into custody for allegedly attacking Josh.
I watch, a sense of satisfaction washing over me, as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) ponders if I might have been mixed up in this, finding it hard to accept that I didn’t betray Samson.
1. At The Woolpack, Daisy Campbell’s character, Amelia Spencer, frets over the outcome of Samson’s trial, fearing potential repercussions on their daughter, Esther, if her biological father is incarcerated.
The pub locals are silenced when Lydia enters with news from court, but what does she have to say?
3. Kim Tate takes action after Rose Jackson’s mysterious disappearance
1. Shortly following Kim’s discovery of her scheme with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), Rose went missing, leaving Kim and her husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) in a state of suspicion. As the narrative progresses, both characters appear suspicious, exchanging angry words as they question each other’s actions.
Dawn Fletcher, portrayed by Olivia Bromley, proposes the idea of employing a private detective to locate Rose. Will is left uncertain about how to react. Kim gets involved and devises a strategy.
Kim enjoys sharing with Caleb Miligan (William Ash) the fact that Ruby has been plotting something. Ruby is concerned about how her husband will respond. At a secluded depot, Caleb exits the car – what’s his next move?
In the meantime, Kim proposes that they both text Dawn using Rose’s phone to deceive her and abandon the search. However, Will is preoccupied with figuring out how Kim obtained Rose’s phone, as Dawn has been left distraught upon receiving a message from Rose indicating she won’t return.
1. In the midst of their turbulent situation, Kim and Will struggle with significant trust problems. Kim confides in Lydia about her failing marriage. Just as Will appears on the verge of admitting his affair with Rose, events take an unexpected turn. So, what happens next?
4. Mandy Dingle’s new venture
As a movie buff, I can relate when a character like Mandy finds herself in a tight spot financially, with her upcoming honeymoon looming large and adding to her anxiety. In an attempt to discreetly alleviate some of her financial burdens, she considered sneakily increasing the cost of Tracy Robinson’s (Amy Walsh) nail appointment by £20.
1. Tracy’s response makes Mandy confess about her substantial financial troubles, but she doesn’t disclose this to Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt). Instead, Mandy is resolved to handle her predicament independently, and a conversation with Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis) piques her curiosity.
1) Overruling Tracy’s dissuasion, Mandy chooses to establish herself as a financial dominatrix online, inventing the character “Madame Diamante Dales.” Can she manage to clear her outstanding debts this way?
5. Is Rodney Blackstock up to no good at the haulage firm?
1. Rodney enjoys working as a driver for the transportation company, whereas Jimmy merely wishes Rodney won’t end up regretting his choice later on.
After learning that Rodney’s shipment from Jimmy was incomplete, Jimmy swiftly points the finger at Rodney. However, could someone else be responsible?
Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 7:30pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
