As a long-time fan of Marvel movies, I can’t help but feel exhilarated and proud as I witness the incredible success of Deadpool & Wolverine. The film’s rapid ascent to potentially surpassing $1 billion in global box office revenue is truly awe-inspiring.
As a passionate moviegoer, I’ve got to say that the freshly released MCU adventure starring Deadpool and Wolverine is creating quite a stir! In just under a week since its cinema debut, this blockbuster is racing towards breaking the $1 billion global box office milestone. It’s an exciting ride, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here!
1. In its initial three days on the big screen, the movie earned a staggering $444.3 million worldwide, joining an elite group of films (Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi) that had amassed greater revenues during their opening periods.
All of those films went on to gross over $1 billion.
The movie has set new box office benchmarks by raking in the most revenue during its debut weekend this year and holding the record for the largest opening weekend earnings for an R-rated production.
1. Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, rejoiced over the movie’s victory by reenacting the popular meme featuring the animated Wolverine figure lounging on a bed and admiring a photo frame affectionately.
1st Place globally goes to the blockbuster duo, Wolverine and Deadpool! A big thanks to everyone involved, including @VancityReynolds, @ShawnLevyDirect, and @MarvStudios! #1WorldwideMovie!

1. Should Deadpool and Wolverine collect more than a billion dollars at the box office, they would join the ranks of ten other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films that have achieved this milestone. Notably, both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame surpassed the $2 billion mark.
As a longtime fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I must say, this past week has been absolutely exhilarating for me! The MCU has been making waves all around, and it wasn’t just the movies stealing the spotlight. Marvel Studios took center stage at San Diego Comic-Con to share some exciting insights into their plans for Phases 5 and 6.
As a longtime fan of Marvel comics and films, I was absolutely thrilled to hear the news that Robert Downey Jr would be reprising his role, but not as Iron Man, but as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Given my extensive knowledge and love for the Marvel universe, I can confidently say that this decision is a masterstroke by the creators.
1. In the years 2026 and 2027, those two films are set to hit the screens. The Russo Brothers, who previously directed the last two Avengers films as well as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, will be in charge of these productions.
As they bide their time, enthusiasts can delight in repeatedly revisiting the cameos and nods in Deadpool and Wolverine for a second, third, or even fourth look, and anticipate the upcoming Captain America film titled “Brave New World,” slated for release at the beginning of next year.
Deadpool & Wolverine is now showing in UK cinemas.
