As a long-time user of Adobe Creative Cloud, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the native support for Windows on Arm and Snapdragon laptops. I was particularly excited when Adobe announced this feature at the Copilot+ PC launch earlier this year. However, I must admit that I’m a bit disappointed with the slow rollout of the apps.
At the grand unveiling of Copilot+ PC earlier this year, Adobe pledged complete compatibility with Windows on Arm and Snapdragon Elite (X) and X Plus laptops for their Creative Cloud suite. This is no trivial endeavor, and the latest news indicates another application will soon be integrated into this lineup.
According to XDA, the beta version of Adobe Illustrator is now accessible for Arm-based Windows systems. This news is certain to bring delight to users, but it’s important to acknowledge that this isn’t the long-awaited release most people are anticipating.
Premiere Pro, without a doubt, holds the title as a robust video editing tool from Adobe. It’s somewhat unexpected that Adobe hasn’t made it their top priority, but for now, if you seek a potent video editor optimized for Snapdragon laptops, give DaVinci Resolve a try.

Sadly, Adobe’s FAQ does not provide information on when Premiere Pro, together with After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder, will be released as upgrades.
As a researcher exploring the compatibility of Adobe applications on Windows ARM, I can confirm that it’s possible to run the x64 version, even though these apps aren’t natively designed for Arm systems. However, since they are emulated, the performance may not match the native experience, especially when dealing with heavy editing tasks where performance is crucial.
