Visions of Mana Demo Released

As a longtime fan of the Mana series, I’m thrilled that we’re finally getting a new entry in the form of “Visions of Mana.” The demo released recently gives us a taste of what’s to come and allows us to unlock some cool weapons for the full game. However, it’s disappointing that progress from the demo won’t carry over to the final version – I would have loved to see how my character developed in the demo and continue that into the main game.

Fans of the “Visions of Mana” series, eagerly waiting for its release, now have the opportunity to try out a free demo beforehand. This preview is accessible on all platforms such as PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. By experiencing the demo, players will gain access to three new weapons in the complete version: Gladius, Falx, and Horn Lance. Val can utilize the Gladius from the get-go in the full game, while the other two weapons, Falx and Horn Lance, will only be usable once the Wind and Moon classes have been unlocked later on.

Many demos unveiled recently enable users to move data to the complete edition, but this isn’t an option with “Visions of Mana.” Square Enix explained that the demo’s content was reduced for an enjoyable experience, and progress can’t be transferred to the complete game. This might disappoint some Mana fans since they’ll need to re-experience these areas if they opt to play the demo. However, it’s important to mention that all weapons unlocked in the demo can still be acquired through regular gameplay.

As a devoted gamer who’s followed the Mana series since its humble beginnings on the Game Boy with Final Fantasy Adventure in 1991, I can’t help but feel excited about the release of Visions of Mana. It’s been over fifteen years since we had a mainline entry in this beloved RPG franchise. And let me tell you, Secret of Mana in 1993 was a game-changer for me!

If you’re new to the series, the freshly launched demo for “Visions of Mana” is an ideal starting point to explore the world of this game and determine if it resonates with your interests! The complete game launches on August 29th.
