Why Armie Hammer's Mom Stayed Quiet Amid Allegations Against Him

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I find myself constantly navigating the intricate web of celebrity scandals and personal lives. In the case of Armie Hammer, it seems we have yet another tale of fame, scandal, and family dynamics to unravel.

Armie Hammer’s mother is speaking out.

In her recently published book titled “Hammered“, author Dru Hammer tackled the accusations leveled against actor Armie Hammer, which included a claim of sexual assault.

The allegations against Armie Hammer originated from an individual known as Effie, who made her identity public. In March 2021, she claimed that Armie had mistreated her mentally, emotionally, and sexually, and that he had forcibly raped her four years earlier. However, these accusations were denied by Armie Hammer’s attorney, Andrew Brettler, who stated in a March 2021 statement to TopMob News that all of Armie’s sexual encounters, including with Effie, were consensual and agreed upon in advance. Brettler further commented that Effie’s actions could make it more challenging for genuine victims of sexual violence to receive justice.

In 2023, I, Tiffiny Blacknell, Director of Communications for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, shared with TopMob News that despite conducting an extensive investigation into allegations against Armie Hammer, there was not enough evidence to charge him with a crime. The complexity of the relationship and the inability to prove a non-consensual, forcible sexual encounter meant we were unable to establish his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Although there were no legal consequences for it, Dru couldn’t forget the incident when Armie “lost all his projects” and was “cancelled” following a social media post that seemed to share explicit messages from him discussing sexual acts and cannibalism fantasies in January 2021. Moreover, he faced additional accusations of misconduct, such as manipulation and pressuring women into BDSM practices.

As a devoted supporter, I’d like to share that the individual I follow firmly dismissed the rumors circulating on social media, labeling them as “baseless accusations” and “malicious and unsubstantiated online assaults.” At the time, his legal representative, Brettler, communicated with Page Six, stating that any interactions my role model had with any partner were “entirely consensual, as they were thoroughly discussed, agreed upon, and mutually engaged in.”

In her book, Dru indirectly mentioned some of Armie’s accusers without naming them explicitly. She went on to say that she had interactions with two out of the three young women who made allegations against him. Both of these women were attractive and sought a long-term relationship with Armie, but he only saw them as temporary partners. As a mother, her empathy was extended to everyone involved because the sacred bond between two people becoming one, as ordained by God, was not present in their situation.

Dru too explained her private reasons for not speaking out publicly during the early days of the pandemic, when people were confined at home and there was a surge in demand for new information. Every day, numerous articles about the situation were published. Yet, Armie chose to remain silent. At that moment, he decided it was best for his family not to speak with anyone.
