TNA’s Joe Hendry Trolls Gallus and Booker T with WWE NXT Return at Great American Bash

TNA's Joe Hendry Trolls Gallus and Booker T with WWE NXT Return at Great American Bash

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours navigating the virtual rings of WWE games, I must say, Joe Hendry’s latest performance on NXT was nothing short of electrifying! The man knows how to captivate an audience and stir up some drama – much like a certain Scottish manager in my favorite wrestling game.

Joe Hendry, from TNA, has found a comfortable spot in WWE NXT, and fans have warmly embraced this fact. Last week, it was announced that Hendry would perform at the Great American Bash‘s first week, not for a wrestling match, but for a concert. And true to form, he didn’t disappoint! During his performance, Hendry paid tribute to Shawn Michaels and Booker T, while also taking digs at Gallus and Joe Coffey. In response, Gallus retaliated by attacking Hendry, ending the concert on an unfortunate note for Hendry as he was left on the mat.

A Song for Gallus

Hendry marched to the ring with his guitar in hand, ready to serenade the audience with a fresh new tune of his own. Before engaging Gallus, he first paid tribute to Shawn Michaels, the head of NXT creative (and an accomplished chef), saying “However, the chef has been busy in the kitchen and summoned Joe Hendry.” Later on, he also criticized Booker T, a notable NXT critic apart from Gallus.

Following his appreciation towards Michael for inviting him to NXT, Hendry subsequently focused on a particular member of the commentary team. Singing, “For he recognizes his supporters, and they echo ‘we believe,’ but the head of his supporter group is none other than Booker T.” Vic Joseph exclaimed “I knew it!” as Booker T was left speechless, and the crowd delighted in Hendry’s top NXT critic being manipulated into an image as the president of Hendry’s fan club.

Later, Hendry confronted his chief adversary in NXT, Gallus. This group has grown increasingly hostile towards Hendry’s popularity within NXT ever since he joined. In fact, they’ve interacted with him more than anyone else, continually grumbling about him and invoking his name to draw him to their location. Given this history, it’s no surprise that Hendry dedicated not just a few verses but an entire chorus to them. However, before that, Joe Coffey had his moment in the limelight.

As a music enthusiast who has spent years immersing myself in the world of folk tunes and ballads, I must say that I was thoroughly captivated by Hendry’s performance at that recent concert. The way he weaved together stories and jabs with such finesse and charm had me hooked from start to finish.

After Gallus interrupted Hendry from performing his well-known theme song, they instead gave an additional performance which left Hendry vulnerable to a crushing defeat, causing disappointment among the spectators. However, it is possible that Hendry may come back for another match next week, but only time will tell.
