As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing the digital landscapes of Path of Exile, I can confidently say that the latest addition to the game, the Lunaris/Solaris vault, has been a thrilling challenge. The 3.25 patch on July 26th introduced this new vault, and like many others, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to crack it open.
As a devoted fan, I found myself delving into Act 8 of Path of Exile recently, and let me tell you, something extraordinary awaited me. In the heart of the campaign, I stumbled upon a previously unseen vault – the enigmatic Lunaris/Solaris Vault. This fascinating addition to the game was introduced with the 3.25 patch that rolled out on July 26th. Alas, upon my arrival, I encountered a formidable obstacle: the door to this secret chamber stood sealed tight, barring my entry for now.
As a seasoned player of this game, I can confidently say that cracking open a Lunaris/Solaris vault is always an exciting adventure. With my years of gaming under my belt, I’ve learned to expect some tantalizing treasures hidden within these fortified containers. So, let me walk you through the process: first, prepare yourself for the challenge ahead; then, follow the instructions given by our guide to open up the vault. Once you succeed, you’ll be richly rewarded with the loot that lies inside – a prize well worth the effort!
How to Open NEW Lunaris / Solaris Door
At the spot before the entrance, you’ll discover that the door can’t be opened by you. This is due to the fact that you must first locate and activate two switches situated in distinct positions somewhat distant from the vault. After activating both switches, you will find the solution to open the vault by stepping on the Lunaris/Solaris symbol etched on the floor directly in front of the vault’s entrance.
In Act 8 of the main campaign, I personally stumbled upon not one, but two easily accessible switches. Activating them is a breeze – all it takes is a simple step!
If you haven’t discovered the vault’s entryway so far, it is located where the map indicates (above). Alternatively, you may find it during the primary storyline of Act 8 in the game.

Switch #1
To reach the initial switch, navigate towards The Lunaris Temple. Inside this temple, you’ll discover a room specifically dedicated to Lunaris’ brother, Solaris, where you can locate the switch.
The picture up top gives you a view of the room’s current state, and there’s a switch you should turn on located within. To activate this switch, all you need to do is step right on it.
After pressing the switch, the game will signal that it’s active by displaying the message “‘A soft dawn’s glow kisses the waning moon’“. Look for this message in the lower-left corner of your screen.
Switch #2
To access the second switch on this occasion, you should navigate towards the Solaris Temple. Inside a chamber devoted to Lunaris, you’ll discover the switch that needs to be activated.
Regarding its design, the room bears a striking resemblance to the Solaris Room within The Lunaris Temple. Much like earlier, you trigger the switch located in this room by simply standing on it. The picture provided gives you an idea of the room’s appearance and the specific switch that requires activation.
Just like the last one, pressing down on this button will trigger a notification. This time, it will read “A brief shadow crosses the sunrise“. What’s more, pressing the button will also illuminate the entire room.
Opening the Lunaris/Solaris Vault Door
After flipping both necessary switches, head back to the vault’s entrypoint to unlock the door that has been barring your path into the vault.
To unlock the safe, simply stand on the emblem resembling Lunaris or Solaris that’s placed just in front of it.
Within the secure lockbox, there’s a treasure chest labeled “Twilight’s End”. Approach it and unlock it to uncover the prizes within. This chest is the sole attraction inside this vault, so after you’ve plundered its contents, feel free to exit the vault and carry on with your adventure.
