Green Hell is Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 14

As a seasoned gamer with years of survival game experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia as I witness the evolution of Creepy Jar’s Green Hell. The jungle survival simulator that once kept me on edge for countless hours is now making its way to the next generation consoles – PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Green Hell, an open-world survival game developed by Creepy Jar, is officially making its way to native platforms like PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. While the game has been playable on current-generation consoles since it debuted on PS4 and Xbox One in 2021, it hasn’t been specifically designed for these systems. This will change as it launches for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on August 14. Players who already own the game on previous-generation consoles can expect a free upgrade to the new version.

Green Hell’s latest console version will include updates 17, 18, and 19, previously exclusive to PC players. However, it’s important to note that Creepy Jar has announced that cross-gen multiplayer and save transfers from older versions to the new ones won’t be an option, so everyone will need to start their jungle survival fresh on the current generation.

Furthermore, the team at Creepy Jar will no longer be providing updates or patches for Green Hell on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Instead, they are focusing their efforts on developing for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Consequently, these last-gen versions of the game will not receive any more updates in the future.
