As a seasoned gamer with decades of horror gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia as I delve into the latest update for “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.” Having grown up on slasher films and their video game counterparts, this franchise has always held a special place in my heart.
On August 1st, an update for “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” game is set to be released by Gun Media. They’ve already unveiled the full details about the changes coming with this new version. Building upon the July update focused on Grandpa, the developers are making significant adjustments to this character again. The previous update aimed at encouraging family players to focus more on Grandpa, and it looks like this one will follow suit. The upcoming changes involve tweaking various perks of the character, with some becoming accessible at lower levels and others receiving a boost in power compared to their original versions.
Apart from these updates, gamers can anticipate the introduction of a new feature called Museum Mode, which bears resemblance to the Virtual Cabin in Gun Media’s Friday the 13th: The Game. This mode allows players to roam freely within the Slaughter Family House, discovering puzzles and backstory related to the game series. Unlike Friday the 13th, which drew upon multiple films, Texas Chain Saw Massacre can only reference the first movie and original content generated for the game. Consequently, the extent of Museum Mode’s depth is uncertain, but it could serve as an engaging diversion for players seeking a break from the main game. Upon the update’s launch, Museum Mode will be accessible directly from the main menu.
Full patch notes from the game’s official website can be found below:
