Christina Hall Jokes About Ant Anstead Replacing Josh Hall in TV Show

As I delve into the captivating life journey of Christina Haack, I find myself in awe of her resilience and adaptability. From the highs of successful business ventures to the lows of personal relationships, she seems to have weathered every storm with grace and determination.

Christina Hall doesn’t mind flipping the casting of her new show.

In fact, when a suggestion was made for the HGTV host to replace her former husband Josh Hall with her ex-husband Ant Anstead, whom she was married to from 2018 to 2021, on her upcoming renovation competition titled “The Flip Off”, she had an unexpected reaction.

As an enthusiastic fan, I can’t help but imagine how electrifying it would be if Ant took over for Josh during the Flip Off! The ratings would undoubtedly skyrocket with such a switch-up.

Christina found it amusing and responded with, “That’s a smart ‘ratings’ suggestion I must say.”

Ant, who co-parents their 4-year-old son Hudson with Christina, wouldn’t necessarily be her sole ex if he were to appear in the series. It’s worth noting that her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, who shares kids Taylor (13) and Brayden (8) with her, is already part of the show alongside his wife Heather Rae El Moussa.

As a devoted admirer, I’m sharing the latest update about the El Moussas – loving parents to Tristan, who is now 18 months old. They’ve recently disclosed that “The Flip Off” will continue, but without Josh, as he has filed for divorce from Christina, marking an end to their two-year marriage.

However, as Heather noted to TopMob News, the show will now just be “us against her.”

In a playful manner, the star of “Selling Sunset” commented, hinting at the possibility of her partnering with Christina against Tarek in an episode. They both seem to enjoy challenging him as a group.

As Tarek quipped, “At some point, it’ll be the girls against me.”

Although Christina and Tarek have grown closer in more recent times, the co-parenting situation between Christina and her current partner Ant, who started dating Renée Zellweger in 2021, has encountered some challenges.

In 2022, Ant sought immediate full custody of their son Hudson, accusing the former star of “exploiting” him by involving him in paid promotions on social media – a claim that Christina denied. However, the court rejected his request and later, Christina declared she would stop showcasing Hudson on her shows and social media until he’s old enough to decide for himself.

In an Instagram post from October 2022, I shared that my father has tried to create divisions within my family, friends, and supporters by using manipulative strategies and spreading misleading information about me. This has taken a significant toll not only on me but also on the peace within our home.

However, over the past few years, Christina and Tarek have cultivated a warm rapport. Yet, the co-parenting situation between Christina and Ant, who has been in a relationship with Renée Zellweger since 2021, has encountered some challenges.

In 2022, Ant petitioned the court for immediate full custody of their son Hudson, stating that the former star of “Flip or Flop” was using him in paid endorsements, a claim which Christina denied. However, the court rejected his request and later, Christina announced she would stop showcasing Hudson on her shows and social media accounts until he reaches an age where he can make such decisions for himself.

In an October 2022 Instagram post, I shared that my father has been using underhanded tactics to stir discord among my loved ones – family, friends, and supporters – by spreading misinformation about me. This manipulation has taken a significant toll not only on me but also within our household.

Ever since that point, Ant hasn’t shared his current stance regarding his ex-wife, whereas Christina labeled their ongoing court case as an “unnecessary and unfortunate custody dispute.”

In a May 2023 post commemorating Mother’s Day, she expressed, “Although I’ve had my share of blunders, I am well aware of the things I’ve done correctly. Beyond any doubt, my children adore me… and I firmly believe I am a good mother…. The chaos of life is overwhelming, but being a mom gives it all meaning.”

Christina and Tarek welcomed their first child together on Sept. 22, 2010.

After their separation, they both took on the role of joint parents for their daughter. This little girl, whom Christina once referred to as having an old soul, possesses a unique ability to delve into profound topics about life in one moment, only to revert back to her childish ways the next.

“Taylor has an exceptional knack for striking up a chat with anyone, no matter the location,” she remarked. “She’s lively, intelligent, sporty, cheerful, and never fails to keep us guessing.”

Christina and Tarek welcomed their second child together on Aug. 20, 2015.

Apart from their eldest child, Taylor, they’ve been jointly raising Brayden since their divorce. Previously, Tarek has referred to their son as a bundle of energy and a little boy with an extraordinarily big heart.

“Tarek expressed that this boy brings an extraordinary brightness to his days, and he feels immensely grateful for being his and Tay’s father. Watching him develop and grow fills him with unparalleled happiness as the proudest dad around.”

Approximately one year following her separation from Tarek, Christina began dating Ant, a British TV host, in October 2017. They made their relationship official in January 2018 – the same month Christina’s divorce from Tarek was finalized – and got married at their Newport Beach, California home during a winter-themed wedding on December 22, 2018.

In 2019, Christina and her partner Ant, who shares daughter Amelie and son Archie with his previous wife Louise Storey, became parents to their first child together, a baby boy named Hudson.

In just under two years of marriage, the pair announced their split in September 2020. Nine months afterward, their divorce became official.

Since the split, Ant has moved on with actress Renée Zellweger.

On September 6, 2019, Christina and Ant were blessed with the birth of their son. Upon arrival, this newborn baby weighed approximately 7 lbs 7 oz and was 19.5 inches in length.

Despite reaching an agreement on joint legal and physical custody of Hudson during their divorce finalized in June 2021, Ant later filed for full custody in April 2022. He alleged in court papers that his former partner spends approximately nine full days per month with their child.

In response to the filing, Christina expressed her feelings to TopMob News: “It truly distresses me what Ant is doing. If his actions are indeed about Hudson, as he claims, they should have been resolved privately using a private judge or mediation, as my attorney and I have recommended. Although I’ve faced challenges, I am a loving mother who prioritizes the well-being of my children, and I will always safeguard them.”

On the Fourth of July in 2019, Tarek encountered a cast member from Selling Sunset at a marina in Newport Beach, California. Their boats were parked side by side and they were both enjoying a party on the water. Towards the end of that month, they were seen sharing a kiss on a yacht. In August, Tarek publicly acknowledged their relationship to TopMob News, stating, “I never thought I’d say this again, but Heather Rae is my girlfriend officially.”

In the heart of July 2020, I was overjoyed when that beloved duo took their first step towards forever. Fast forward to October 23, 2021, under the California sun near enchanting Santa Barbara, they exchanged heartfelt vows in a breathtaking outdoor ceremony, officially becoming husband and wife. The magic of the moment was as beautiful as the love they share.

In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d say I proudly embrace the title of “bonus mom” to Tarek’s lovely children, Taylor and Brayden. As I’ve shared before with TopMob News, I truly feel like they are an extension of my own family. Spending half our time together, I cherish every moment in their growth and development. I care for them as if they were my very own, showering them with love and guidance.

On January 31, 2023, Tarek and Heather happily greeted their newborn son. The little fellow entered the world weighing a total of 7 pounds and 7 ounces.

According to Heather, it was intended that he should be called Tristan, but instead, his parents ended up giving him the name Tarek.

His middle name is a nod to Heather’s dad.

Following the end of her marriage to Ant, Christina started seeing Josh in the year 2021. They made their relationship known to the public in July of the same year. Christina shared that they had been spending quality time together for several months prior to this revelation.

In the spring, the star of ‘Flip or Flop’ recounts encountering Josh, a real estate professional, at a point when she was not experiencing heightened anxiety or the “fight-or-flight” response. She had chosen to step away from social activities, hired a spiritual guide, and used Bufo toad venom for a ritual, all with the intention of rejuvenating her mental state.

Christina and Josh got engaged that September and tied the knot on Oct. 6, 2021.

In my role as a lifestyle advisor, I must share an interesting revelation about a certain couple. The specific date of their nuptials remained unknown to many until July 15, 2024, when Josh made the formal decision to end their marriage. He expressed that irreconcilable differences were at the heart of this separation.

Before the July 11, 2024 episode of “Christina on the Coast” showcased the remodeling process of her childhood home, she had generally been reserved about her roots, primarily disclosing brief glimpses of her parents as grandparents.

2019 saw her posting on Instagram that our families, both hers and Tarek’s, gather to enjoy watching Taylor perform at her school’s yearly Christmas show.

She expressed that several individuals appreciated its kindness, noting that many divorced couples (such as Tarek’s parents) also practice this, and it truly simplifies matters for everyone. Furthermore, Taylor’s smile brightens whenever she witnesses us all seated together, cheering her on.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share that while my personal journey alongside Christina catapulted me into the public eye, it was actually my sisters who captured the limelight decades ago, during the era of the 2000s.

Stacie, known to some as “Stacie the Bartender,” was a well-known recipient of Spencer Pratt’s flirtations during his time on “The Hills.” She also made an appearance on “Vanderpump Rules,” notably serving as one of Scheana Shay’s bridesmaids in season three.

Regarding Jessica, she’s not only a former Playboy model but also a regular cast member on various shows like “The Hills,” “The Girls Next Door,” and Kendra-related series such as “Kendra,” “Kendra on Top,” and “Kendra Sells Hollywood.” These roles were primarily in support of her close friend, Kendra Wilkinson.

Angelique, the older sibling of Tarek, owns Latitude 33 Hair Artistry in Anaheim, California. She acquired one of the homes that Tarek and Christina flipped on an episode of Flip or Flop in 2014, and later collaborated with her HGTV co-host brother for a digital series in 2019.

Tarek El Moussa’s mom, Dominique, is no longer with his father, whose identity Tarek hasn’t disclosed in public. Presently, she is married to Robert, who affectionately refers to Tarek’s mom as “the love of my life” on Instagram.

Despite not sharing the same surname, Tarek acknowledged his father’s milestone birthday in a Facebook post from November 2017, referring to him as his “old man,” who just celebrated his 70th birthday.

In his post, he expresses the significance of a father-child bond, sharing that he was fortunate to have a nurturing and inspiring father who instilled in him the confidence to achieve great things. The photo featured their birthday celebrations for his father. He acknowledges that he wouldn’t be where he is today without his dad’s support and plans to carry forward all the valuable lessons he’s learned from him to his own children.

During an interview with Country Living, Tarek shared that his father, born and raised Catholic in Lebanon and later in Egypt in the Middle East, encountered his Belgian-born mother in Europe when he was a teenager.
