House of the Dragon leaks “aggressively monitored and removed” by HBO

As a die-hard fan who has lived and breathed Westeros since the days of King Robert Baratheon, I must say that this latest leak of House of the Dragon season 2 finale is as frustrating as a dragon with indigestion after eating a whole goat!

Warning: contains spoilers for House of the Dragon season 2 episodes 1-7.

HBO has spoken out about the buzz on social media sparked by leaked clips from the anticipated ending of House of the Dragon’s second season.

Even though episodes from the much-awaited finale have been broadcasted weekly for the past seven weeks, sneak peeks of it surfaced on popular platforms like TikTok and what was once called Twitter.

Despite being removed, the initial post shared 14 videos and roughly 30 minutes worth of clips from the upcoming finale, as reported by Variety.

According to their announcement, HBO is keeping a close eye on the current state of affairs and taking down any material that has been unlawfully released from their platform.

As a devoted cinephile, I’ve come across the news: “Clips from the final episode of House of the Dragon have been leaked on various social media sites. These sneak peeks originated from an unforeseen discharge by an international third-party distributor.”

As an enthusiast, I’m eagerly waiting for this weekend when I can catch the whole episode without any misses. HBO is working diligently to ensure that unauthorized clips don’t spoil the viewing experience. So, tune in this Sunday night only on HBO and HBO Max!

House of the Dragon leaks “aggressively monitored and removed” by HBO

As a dedicated fan of cinematic sagas, I must admit it’s disheartening to experience yet another instance where House of the Dragon is hit by leaks. Regrettably, this isn’t my first encounter with such an unfortunate event; even the season 1 finale fell victim to similar circumstances back in 2022.

As everyone eagerly anticipates the final showdown between the Greens and the Blacks, we’ll need to exercise some patience until the official release of the next episode.

So far, the Game of Thrones prequel series has been gradually building tension, featuring unexpected character deaths, dragon fights, and intense familial conflicts akin to civil war. However, things are starting to reach a boiling point as we approach the last episode.

As a passionate film buff, I’m eagerly anticipating the climactic chapter that will unfold after the penultimate seventh installment titled “The Red Sowing.” This thrilling episode featured Queen Rhaenyra I Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy), who relentlessly gathered loyal dragonriders to avenge her son’s demise and seize the Iron Throne.

After the intense dragon attack masterminded by his brother Prince Regent Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell), King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) has found his road to recovery quite stressful.

Regarding if Aemond has more plans for the throne in the last episode, only time will tell, but it seems wise to anticipate the unpredictable with regards to this young Targaryen sibling.

Will Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower (played by Olivia Cooke), who temporarily withdrew herself from the impending turmoil and sought tranquility beyond the court, re-emerge to take action as the danger approaching Rhaenyra’s followers grows increasingly imminent?

In the United Kingdom, you can catch the second season of House of the Dragon on Sky Atlantic and NOW. Here’s a guide on how to subscribe to Sky TV for more information.
