As a seasoned video game enthusiast with over three decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the anticipation for GTA 6 is palpable! Ever since the first trailer dropped last December, it’s been a rollercoaster of speculation, theories, and leaks. The latest buzz surrounding GTA 6 has me on tenterhooks once again – the rumored song for the second trailer has got me all spun up like an old-school boombox!
The situation has become more exciting lately, as fans believe that Rockstar may have given us a hint about when to expect the next trailer, possibly revealing a confirmed release date for GTA 6.
This came about by a trailer for new GTA: Online content, which we will take a look at below.
Every time the second trailer comes out, there’s a chance it might reveal more about the character, Lucia, and help us understand if she’s actually the Bikini Girl. Could this be the moment we uncover the truth?
Since people have paid such close attention to the initial teaser, it’s certain that each tiny aspect within it will be analyzed thoroughly. Moreover, the tune ultimately selected is bound to linger in our memories for several more months.
Regardless of its final form, the trailer promises a delightful array of graphics highlighting additional Vice City landscapes. It’s intriguing to speculate whether enthusiastic YouTubers might attempt to replicate the trailer in real life once more.
It’s possible that we’ll receive an official age rating (you can take a guess at what it might be), as well as discover the price of GTA 6. Additionally, there’s a chance we might see a sneak peek of GTA 6 Online, although that might be saved for a separate trailer.
It’s reasonable to assume that there will be no official confirmation about the release of GTA 6 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
But what about that supposed date? Let’s find out.
When could GTA 6 trailer 2 release? Our best guess
It’s uncertain when Rockstar will release the second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6, but we speculate that it might be around late 2024, with a possible date being October 4th.
A prospective date was noticeably seen by sharp-eyed spectators while they were watching the trailer for the Pizza Delivery upgrade in GTA: Online, as depicted in the image provided.
It’s evident that ‘October’ is shown as ‘OCT’, while the letter ‘A’ on the number plate is replaced by the digit ‘4’.
Although intriguing, it doesn’t provide definitive evidence. As u/adotang noted, ‘OCT’ has been the monthly sticker on the San Andreas license plate since the release of Grand Theft Auto V.
Nonetheless, Rockstar Games isn’t the type of studio known for hastily releasing games without careful consideration. Occasionally, our excitement as fans might lead us to anticipate new releases prematurely.
In the world of fact, it’s been verified that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launched in 2025. Therefore, marketing efforts are expected to ramp up towards the end of this year, aligning with a potential new trailer in October.
It’s possible that GTA will release its second trailer towards the end of the year, as the first one came out in December 2023.
GTA 5 trailer timeline
A good approach to predict when we might see trailers for GTA 6 could be by examining the past release patterns. To illustrate this, let me share an example from the past: The first trailer for GTA 5 was unveiled by Rockstar in November 2011. Interestingly, it took just over a year before the second GTA 5 trailer was released.
The full GTA 5 trailer timeline can be seen below:

- GTA 5 Trailer 2 – 14th November 2012

- GTA V Gameplay Trailer – 9th July 2013
- GTA Online: Official Gameplay Video – 15th August 2013
- GTA 5: The Official Trailer (trailer 4) – 29th August 2013
Why are people talking about GTA 6 trailer 2? Song rumours explained
Back in February 2024, I found myself buzzing with excitement as rumors swirled about which track might grace the second trailer for GTA 6. It all started when a keen-eyed Reddit user, AlilBitTall, spotted a tantalizing GTA 6 logo on the song “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward on her Spotify account. Could it be possible? Only time will tell!
As a die-hard fan of music and movies, let me share a fascinating tidbit about a track I once heard in the virtual world of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Specifically, it played on K-Jah, one of its radio stations. Interestingly, the original version of that song wasn’t by the artist you might expect. Instead, it was a cover performed by the band known as Blood Sisters.
Given its iconic association with the ’80s and strong rumors of GTA 6 being set during that same era, there’s a high probability that it might appear in the upcoming trailer, or perhaps you could tune into an in-game radio station to hear it.
Afterward, Anita Ward’s Spotify account clarified the mystery by posting an explanation about its unexpected linkage.
Anita Ward’s Spotify page has made a statement.

The post (as shared via Reddit) can be read below in full:
As a long-time fan of the band, I must admit that I was quite disappointed to learn that “Ring My Bell” won’t be featured in the second trailer or on any radio station. I had been eagerly anticipating hearing the iconic tune again and even went as far as spreading rumors and making predictions about its inclusion in the upcoming release. However, after reading the official statement from the band, it appears that all of my speculations were unfounded. It’s always frustrating when our hopes are dashed, but I have learned over the years that sometimes things just don’t go as planned. In any case, I’m still looking forward to seeing what else they have in store for us fans.
“Over the past three days, we’ve encountered developments beyond our current understanding. We eagerly anticipate the dissemination of accurate information to the public soon. As of now, there is no existing formal agreement, but this does not preclude the possibility of one in the future. At present, there are no ongoing negotiations or official agreements.”
It appears that Anita Ward’s Spotify account might have been compromised or hacked, but the exact details are unclear based on the information provided.
What’s the latest GTA 6 trailer?
As I’m speaking now, the sole GTA 6 trailer officially unveiled by Rockstar so far is the teaser from December 2023.
It utilises Tom Petty’s classic Love Is a Long Road as its main song, which has led to speculation as to whether the trailer has a hidden meaning. Check it out below:
Grand Theft Auto 6 is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.
