This larger title hints at a fresh landscape to discover. To put fans’ minds at ease who feared it would remain exclusive to Japan, it has been officially confirmed for release in the West. Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town Is Releasing in the West
Following much anticipation, publishing company Neos has at last disclosed that Shin Chan: Shiro and the Coal Town will hit the western markets on October 24, 2024. Fans of the original game have long been aware that this was merely a question of when, as Neos had previously shared their intention to bring it to the West post its initial unveiling. Coincidentally, this release is set only a few months after Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid, another title reminiscent of Boku no Natsuyasumi, makes its Western premiere later in this month.
Similar to the past Shin Chan game, players will traverse a peaceful Japanese countryside village and engage in all sorts of mischief. You’ll be able to fish, craft items, hunt for insects, and uncover the secrets of Coal Town. The new area appears to blend aspects of the Spirited Away bathhouse and the world of Tekkonkinkreet.
