The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020 Will Seemingly be Revealed at Gamescom

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation that’s reminiscent of the days leading up to the release of Silent Hill 2. The tantalizing teaser from Supermassive Games about their upcoming sci-fi horror title, Directive 8020, has me on the edge of my seat!

Currently, Supermassive Games is busy with two upcoming titles: “The Casting of Frank Stone” and “Little Nightmares 3”. However, these aren’t the only games they are working on. After completing the first season of “The Dark Pictures Anthology” with “The Devil in Me” a few years back, the studio has been giving hints about the next game in the series, titled “Directive 8020”. It appears that the official unveiling of this game is drawing near.

Taking to Twitter, Supermassive Games recently tweeted out a picture of a planet with the text “we hear Gamescom will be out of this world” accompanying the picture. Though no game’s name is explicitly mentioned, it was previously confirmed that Directive 8020 will feature a sci-fi setting. The game is set aboard the ship Cassiopeia, which runs into mysterious troubles en route to the planet of Tau Ceti f.

The sci-fi horror game will likely reveal new information during Gamescom, which is set in Cologne, Germany from August 21st to the 25th. Keep an eye out for further details.
