What Is Twisters About?
The story revolves around Kate Cooper (portrayed by Daisy Edgar-Jones), a former tornado chaser living safely in New York City, where she studies storm patterns on screens due to a traumatic encounter with a twister during her college years. Her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) invites her back to the open plains to test an innovative tracking system. Upon her return, she encounters Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a charismatic and risk-taking social media star who enjoys posting his storm-chasing escapades with his rowdy crew. As the storm season becomes increasingly intense, unprecedented storm phenomena arise, placing Kate, Tyler, and their rival teams in the path of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma, putting them in a battle for survival.
The film “Twisters” is directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the same director of “Minari”. It features a star-studded cast including Brandon Perea from “Nope”, Sasha Lane from “American Honey”, Daryl McCormack known for his role in “Peaky Blinders”, Kiernan Shipka famous for her work on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, Nik Dodani recognized for his performance in “Atypical”, David Corenswet who played Superman, Katy O’Brian from “Love Lies Bleeding”, and Maura Tierney, a Golden Globe winner for her role in “Beautiful Boy”.
