Superman Brings Back His Black Suit In New DC Absolute Power Preview

As a seasoned DC Comics enthusiast with over three decades of reading under my belt, let me tell you this: I’ve seen some epic battles and heart-wrenching stories, but Absolute Power is quickly climbing the ranks. Mark Waid’s writing and Dan Mora’s art have breathed new life into these iconic characters, taking us on a thrilling ride that combines the best elements of DC lore with a fresh, modern twist.

In the ongoing sequence of events that has left a significant impact in Washington D.C., the epic saga titled “Absolute Power” marches on with its latest installment within the primary storyline this week. The surviving heroes of the DC Universe, who aren’t currently detained by Amanda Waller and her reformed Suicide Squad, are now seeking shelter at Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.

In the course of events, the Man of Steel slips into his black attire, a suit that became part of his persona following his resurrection from the popular “Death of Superman” series. Although he hasn’t met his end in “Absolute Power”, Superman has been deprived of his powers after being shot and is currently recuperating.
