As a gamer who has been following WWE for over two decades now, I must say that Roman Reigns’ return to the ring is like a breath of fresh air. The anticipation was palpable, and his decision to help Cody Rhodes against his former group in the Bloodline feels like the perfect twist in this epic storyline.
Roman Reigns made his comeback during WWE SummerSlam on Saturday. In this event, The Head of the Table re-entered the WWE by aiding Cody Rhodes to keep his Undisputed WWE Championship. While Reigns was the leader of the Bloodline when he lost to Rhodes at WrestleMania XL earlier in the year, Reigns swiftly delivered a powerful punch and spear on Solo Sikoa, thereby effectively transforming into a hero character. Despite the fact that his return was expected, fans are thrilled about his choice to support Rhodes against his previous group within the Bloodline.
Brandi posted on Twitter that, as of now, he hasn’t been invited to Thanksgiving by us. However, there is an empty chair, but we aren’t ready to decide who should fill it just yet.
“@Navtreaks stated, ‘ROMAN REIGNS demonstrated in the ring why he’s the boss of this company, WWE is back. The power is back. The original tribal leader has returned.'”
For over a year now, Roman Reigns has been missing from any WWE broadcast following his defeat for the Undisputed WWE Championship against Rhodes during WrestleMania XL in April. The title reign he held before this loss lasted an impressive 1,316 days. Immediately after the match, WWE creative head Paul “Triple H” Levesque hinted at a fresh chapter for this beloved character.
Triple H stated earlier, “It’s not that the story is incomplete; rather, we’re reaching the end of this current chapter. Roman Reigns is about to embark on an entirely new, mind-blowing tale. I hold immense respect for him and can hardly wait to see where he takes it next.”
Since Reigns was not present for programming duties, Sikoa officially assumed the role of Tribal Chief during the July 5th episode of WWE SmackDown.
“In a promotional video, Sikoa declared, ‘This is an Ula Fala, making me the new Tribal Chief.’ He continued, ‘I didn’t ask for this role, but my family required it. Roman Reigns failed to protect our WWE Title at WrestleMania and our legacy against Cody Rhodes and his lineage. Given his actions, he can no longer use the title ‘Tribal Chief.’ Now, I am the Tribal Chief and I intend to reclaim our Undisputed WWE Title from Cody Rhodes.'”
Under Sikoa’s leadership, the second generation of the Bloodline consists of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu as well.
