Phantom Blade Zero Developer Hasn’t Ruled Out an Xbox Series X/S Version

As a long-time gaming enthusiast who has witnessed countless studio dramas and platform wars, I must say I find it quite refreshing to see a developer like S-Game taking a stand against misrepresentations and false reports. It’s not every day that we hear a studio clarifying their stance so promptly and decisively.


It’s possible you’ve encountered articles suggesting an anonymous S-Game employee stated that the game Phantom Blade Zero, developed by their studio, won’t be available on Xbox due to the belief that the platform is unnecessary. However, the studio has since spoken out and denied these claims with a formal statement.

S-Game’s statement appears to challenge the accuracy of previous reports, asserting that comments critical of Xbox do not align with their values or work environment. The studio aims to make their game, Phantom Blade Zero, accessible for all and has not yet decided which platforms it will be available on.

“The creators of this game are putting a lot of effort into both the creation and distribution processes, so that a large number of gamers can play it when it’s first released and continue enjoying it later on,” the developer explains.

Last month at ChinaJoy, S-Game unveiled fresh gameplay clips for Phantom Blade Zero, and they plan to exhibit the game once more at Gamescom later in August.

Phantom Blade Zero is currently in development for PS5 and PC.
