Emmerdale star Louise Jameson teases Mary Goskirk age-gap romance: “I think they’re a good match”

As a seasoned soap opera connoisseur with decades of viewing under my belt, I must admit that the Emmerdale love triangle between Mary, Suzy, and Vanessa has me intrigued. Louise Jameson‘s candid interviews suggest that the drama is far from over for our favorite characters, which is music to this soap opera enthusiast’s ears.

In the realm of romantic entanglements in Emmerdale, a love triangle is eagerly anticipated by fans. This particular one involves Mary (played by Louise Jameson), Suzy (Martelle Edinborough), and Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick).

Upon her return, Vanessa reignited her affection for Suzy, effectively concluding the flourishing bond between Suzy and Mary. Yet, is there a chance that their romance could be revived again?

In an interview with The Mirror, Jameson hinted at an upcoming plot involving romance, though she’s unsure of the timeline. She added that there seems to be a continuous hint of it, like a tantalizing carrot being dangled.

Previously mentioned, I expressed a concern that if they manage to make her overly content and comfortable, it would eliminate the excitement since all the drama will vanish. I truly enjoy having opportunities to get angry and showcase my acting abilities!

So, is Mary unlikely to get a happy ending anytime soon, then?

Regarding the idea of a romantic entanglement involving Mary, Suzy, and Vanessa, Jameson mused: “Perhaps it’s a love triangle! It’s possible that she might end up with Suzy, though I’m not certain about the details yet. However, I do believe they could make a good couple.”

From my personal perspective, I’ve found that age gaps can sometimes be challenging in relationships, especially when one person is old enough to be the other’s parent. In my own life experiences, I’ve seen such relationships work out beautifully and also witnessed situations where it didn’t go as smoothly. Ultimately, the success of a relationship depends on the people involved and their compatibility, not just the age difference between them.

She went on to say, “Since resolving issues would remove all the excitement from her life, wouldn’t it? As an actress, I thrive on tension and turmoil. I’m secretly wishing for one challenge following another.”

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 7:30pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
