In an exclusive chat with TopMob News alongside Brandon Skenlar and Colleen Hoover, the author of “It Ends With Us,” I jokingly shared my thoughts on a movie that’s not suitable for my kids: “Savages.” Now, let me clarify, this isn’t a film I’d recommend to everyone. It’s a gritty one, and as you know, it’s titled “The Town” – it’s definitely not on my list of top picks. Just thought I’d share a glimpse into my filmography, which can get a bit rough at times (Don’t forget to catch more of my insights tonight, August 5th, at 11 p.m., right here on TopMob News!).
Indeed, those two movies she mentioned – one dealing with drug dealers and another bank robbers – might not be the initial choices for her children’s viewing. Yet, playfully hinting at her husband’s acting background, she suggested that he has a more child-friendly repertoire of roles, such as in films like “IF” and “The Croods”.
“My husband’s filmography is much more user-friendly,” she quipped. “Yeah, mommy’s movies are not.”
It’s reasonable to assume that her latest movie, “It Ends With Us,” which premieres on August 9 and is based on Colleen’s book with the same title, will also be part of this collection. Featuring Blake, Brandon, and Justin Baldoni in the cast, the film narrates the journey of protagonist Lily Bloom as she confronts the harsh reality of a relationship she believed was ideal.

So, which actors are portraying Lily, Ryle and Atlas?

In simple terms, the official Instagram account for the movie referred to the former Gossip Girl star’s character as a central florist involved in a love triangle. To bring this adored role to life, Blake Lively changed her iconic blonde hair to red. The first glimpse of Blake’s vibrant new color was captured when she was spotted on a film set located in the New York area.
Apart from playing the intricate romantic interest of Lily in the movie, Justin Baldoni is also steering the ship as the director for this project, given his role as a key player in “Jane the Virgin.”
Regarding the rest of the team working off-camera, both Justin and Blake, along with Colleen, will have creative input as executive producers. Alex Saks, known for “The Florida Project,” and Christy Hall, who is penning the script for “I Am Not Okay With This,” are also part of the production team, according to a press release from Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures.

However, he seems unsure if these are called ‘thirst traps’. After searching it up, he clarified that he did not search for the term ‘thirst trap’.
In the upcoming series “1923,” starring Brandon Sklenar from “Yellowstone,” Sklenar will portray Atlas. Atlas is a character who was once close friends with Lily during their childhood and shares a past relationship with her. As the story unfolds, Atlas emerges as a romantic adversary for Ryle.
On April 20th, Justin made it official on Twitter by saying, “Allow me to introduce… the cast of #Atlas – welcome, Brandon!”
Following the announcement, Brandon expressed his feelings about being part of the movie on Instagram via a touching post.
On April 21st, he expressed that when he began this project, he wasn’t familiar with this influential book and its global impact on empowering women to transform their lives. This issue is deeply meaningful to him as the number of women he’s encountered who have experienced abuse is alarmingly high. Our goal for this film is to carry forward the life-changing message of this book, encouraging women to feel powerful and men to strive for improvement. I feel privileged to be involved in it.
On May 1st, it was revealed that Jenny Slate had been added to the film’s cast as Allysa, Ryle’s sister and Lily’s closest friend. Justin expressed his excitement on Instagram about the news of the Saturday Night Live alum joining the project, writing “Pinching myself!” followed by a playful “Hey sis!”.
On social media, Colleen expressed her astonishment at the fact that “Jenny, who is incredibly gifted,” will be starring in the upcoming film.
The actress picked to portray a younger version of Blake is Isabela Ferrer, according to IMDb.
In April 2023, Justin confirmed that they had successfully located their lead actress after a broad search which involved an open audition on social media.
