As a devoted fan who’s been riding this rollercoaster of emotions since the very first chapter, I can wholeheartedly say that the closure of My Hero Academia feels like bidding farewell to an old friend. It’s been a decade-long journey filled with laughter, tears, suspense, and countless jaw-dropping moments that have left an indelible mark on my heart.
After a decade-long run, the exciting adventure that began with “My Hero Academia” in 2014 has come to an end. Author Kohei Horikoshi initially introduced us to Izuku Midoriya, and since then, this story has grown into a massive world populated by numerous characters who have captured our hearts. With the manga’s conclusion, all these characters are taking center stage, making it even more special for fans. Shueisha is honoring the end of “My Hero Academia” by conducting a global popularity poll, so get ready to cast your votes!
Based on recent updates, Shueisha is organizing the first worldwide popularity contest for “My Hero Academia.” They’ve set up a dedicated platform to gather votes. The voting process consists of two phases: the Main Stage and Plus Ultra Stage. At present, fans can cast their votes in the Main Stage section, with the winner receiving a unique video message from the creators of “My Hero Academia.”
In the next round for me, the Plus Ultra Stage is where the three characters I’ve chosen so far from the Main Stage go head-to-head. The victor of this battle royale will be hailed as the most popular character from My Hero Academia, based on this survey. That means they’ll get an exclusive illustration from Horikoshi and a one-of-a-kind statue to boast about!
In addition to the popularity survey, Shueisha is running a fan art contest centered around “My Hero Academia”. Artists are invited to submit their works related to this series, and ten winners will be selected at the end. The winning pieces will then be showcased on the poll’s website, so get your drawing tools ready!
Horikoshi, in reference to the unique poll, left a message expressing his appreciation for the affection and encouragement towards “My Hero Academia“. Watching everyone delight in the series brought him joy too. He hopes that as you carry on with your daily routines, you’ll occasionally think back fondly on Deku and his friends.
If you haven’t finished reading “My Hero Academia” yet, you can catch up by reading it from beginning to end on the Shonen Jump app. For further details about this series, check out its official summary which is provided below:
Throughout his life, Izuku yearned for the title of a hero – a dream that seemed almost impossible, given he was one of the few without superpowers in a world where eight out of ten people possess some kind of special ability. Despite his ordinary nature in a world dominated by “quirks,” Izuku didn’t let this deter him from pursuing his ambition and applying to one of the world’s top hero academies.
