Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker Calls Out John Cena for WWE Match

As a die-hard wrestling fan with decades of watching under my belt, I can confidently say that Bron Breakker has quickly become one of my favorite newcomers in WWE. His size, speed, and power are a lethal combination that’s hard to ignore, and he’s already proven himself worthy among the giants of the Intercontinental Championship division.

Bron Breakker, relatively new to the WWE main roster, has left an extraordinary mark on both fans and WWE officials in a short span of time. Given his physique, he performs feats that many other large wrestlers can’t, excelling in speed and power. These unique talents have secured him a significant position within the division, as he has been deeply involved in the Intercontinental Championship narrative alongside Sami Zayn.

At SummerSlam, he regained his opportunity for a title rematch, and this time, he exited the Dawg Pound at Cleveland Browns Stadium as the new champion. This victory marks his debut title reign on the main roster, and with such a revered title in hand, he now stands alongside other exceptional talents who have also claimed the gold. Following his win, Breakker expressed during SummerSlam’s post-show that he aims to uphold the championship with utmost integrity and excellence on WWE Raw every Monday. Above all, he seeks to raise both the title and himself to even greater heights in the process.

In addition, Breakker acknowledged Zayn, who had been a four-time Intercontinental Champion before him. “He offered me a shot at the Intercontinental Championship when I was still green in the business. At that time, not many knew my potential or what I might accomplish in this arena. He gave me an opportunity, a chance at the Intercontinental Championship, and we should all appreciate that.”

Bron Breakker Names WWE Legend John Cena as Someone He Wants To Wrestle

Braker has publicly expressed his desire to compete against WWE icon John Cena, a 13-time World Champion whom he challenged for the Intercontinental Championship. During an interview with MuscleManMalcolm at the WWE SummerSlam media event, Braker said, “John Cena, you’ve never held the Intercontinental Championship before. I challenge you to take it from me. Show some courage, come and take the title from me. Let’s fight for it.”

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that, following a hint earlier this year, John Cena officially unveiled his retirement tour in June, set to kick off in 2025. His intention is clear: to express gratitude to the fans who have stood by him throughout his journey and to nurture a promising young athlete who will usher in the next era of WWE. This selfless act is quintessentially Cena – he demonstrated it twice in 2023, partnering Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 and Solo Sikoa, The Bloodline’s current leader, at WWE Crown Jewel. My last memory of Cena in the ring was after WrestleMania 40, where he teamed with Awesome Truth against The Judgment Day on Raw.
