My Hero Academia Time Skip Reveals Bakugo's Pro Hero Flaw

As a die-hard fan who’s witnessed Bakugo’s journey from the very beginning, I must say that the latest chapter of My Hero Academia was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! The time skip eight years into the future has given us a glimpse into our beloved characters’ lives, and it’s clear that while Deku has soared to new heights as a teacher at U.A., our favorite hot-headed hero, Bakugo, still struggles with his popularity.

In the most recent installment of “My Hero Academia,” the popular manga series concluded its ten-year run in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, boasting an impressive 430 chapters. The finale offers a time jump, showcasing how our heroes from Class 1-A, including Izuku Midoriya, have embarked on their professional careers. Despite his growth and becoming a pro hero as anticipated, Katsuki Bakugo is still grappling with a persistent flaw that hinders him from reaching the top echelons of heroism.

In “My Hero Academia”, the narrative equally belonged to Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya, as their rivalry played a significant role in some of the most memorable moments across the manga and anime series. Interestingly, the storyline also unveiled that Bakugo harbored care for his rival Deku, using his influence to encourage Deku’s growth. However, despite being formidable in combat and possessing a powerful quirk, it’s evident from the final chapter that Bakugo’s abrasive behavior and prickly demeanor have made him an unpopular figure among the general public.

My Hero Academia: Bakugo’s Pro Hero Future

The storyline of My Hero Academia Chapter 430 begins by fast-forwarding eight years into the future, showcasing Deku and his peers having graduated from U.A. Academy. Now, Deku is a teacher at the school, and his friends have achieved remarkable success as heroes. Some of their classmates have combined forces to create unique initiatives aimed at transforming society for the better. Amusingly, however, Bakugo’s popularity continues to plummet instead.

Due to viral videos showing Bakugo berating fans (reminding them that he’s not there for their amusement), it appears that Bakugo will likely continue missing out on the top hero position he’s longed for since his childhood. Despite treating Deku more kindly than in their childhood days, and evidently undergoing a significant transformation following various events, Bakugo’s fundamental character traits remain unchanged. He remains as aggressive and off-putting as ever, despite the passage of time, reflecting the same hero he has always been.
