Deadpool & Wolverine: Dafne Keen Says Wesley Snipes "Is Blade Off Camera"

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of immersion in the Marvel universe, I must say that the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie has me absolutely thrilled! The return of characters like Blade, after being away for so long, feels like reconnecting with an old friend you never thought you’d see again.

In the spirit of Marvel Studios’ usual grandeur, the upcoming movie starring Deadpool and Wolverine boasts an extensive roster that extends far beyond our titular heroes. For the third Deadpool installment, we’re welcoming back a slew of characters who haven’t graced the silver screen for decades! One actor, in particular, has stepped back into their role, and it seems they’ve truly embodied their character – much like Dafne Keen shared on ComicBook’s Phase Zero podcast. She described Wesley Snipes as a genuine Blade/Eric Brooks in real life!

In this scenario, it seems that Wesley remains consistent or unchanged compared to others, much like the character Blade when not in front of the camera. Keen shares that Wesley appears very composed and collected. During their initial reading session, Keen greeted him casually, but Wesley responded with a formal “Yes, sensei,” which left Keen puzzled about the situation.

Despite Wesley Snipes having resumed his character as the Daywalker, he has graciously allowed Mahershala Ali to step into the role for Marvel’s forthcoming reprisal.

“Last month, Snipes expressed his encouragement to EW, saying he cheered him on and wished him all the blessings and support. He also mentioned that some of the difficulties the project is currently facing should not be blamed on the actor. Instead, it’s a complex process to bring Blade to life, and Snipes advised good luck, adding that the actor remains his friend.”
