How to get Annihilape in Pokémon Go explained

As a seasoned Pokémon Go trainer with over 500 hours under my belt and a Pokedex full of rare catches, I must say that the latest addition to our team, Annihilape, has certainly stirred up excitement among us enthusiasts.

Mankey and Primeape have always been cool Pokémon, but what’s even cooler is that you can now evolve Primeape into Annihilape – first introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and number 979 in the full list.

How do you get Annihilape in Pokémon Go?

In the primary series of games, it’s possible to transform a Primeape into an Annihilape by leveling it up following the usage of the move Rage Fist approximately twenty times.

In Pokémon Go, acquiring the potent Fighting/Ghost final form of Mankey follows a slightly unique approach.

How to get Annihilape in Pokémon Go explained

To transform a Primeape into Annihilape in Pokemon Go, first, make sure Primeape is your Buddy Pokemon. Then, feed it 100 Mankey Candies and defeat at least 30 Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon in battles.

Absolutely, here’s the breakdown: To transform a Primeape into an Annihilape, follow these steps. If you don’t currently have a Primeape, you can obtain one by evolving a Mankey after providing it with 50 Manky Candies.

Initially, once you’ve chosen Primeape as your companion Pokemon, you’ll automatically begin accumulating Mankey Candy just by strolling alongside it. Additionally, capturing and transferring extra Mankeys to Professor Willow will grant you even more candies.

Currently, you’ve got a task ahead: You must win against 30 Pokémon that are either Ghost or Psychic types in combat. To help you on this journey, your companion Pokémon is a Primeape, which you aim to evolve.

You won’t have to battle and overcome thirty Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon using Primeape; instead, all you need is for Primeape to be your companion during those battles.

You can speed up this process by following this great advice we found on a Reddit thread.

One user explained their method: “Fastest way I’ve found was to battle a grunt with Psychic- or Ghost-types, defeat the first two mons, exit battle, rematch, then repeat as many times as needed. All defeated mons count towards the progress.”

Should your companion’s Pokémon be of Ghost or Psychic type, they too can be victorious in such encounters. Your strategy against Blanche, with her Metagross, should prove effective in the Master League battle as well.

After successfully battling and overcoming 30 Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon with your Primeape as your companion Pokemon, reward it by feeding it 100 Mankey Candies to transform it into an Annihilape. It’s possible for the evolved Annihilape to be Shiny too!

Pokémon Go Annihilape strengths and weaknesses

The Pokemon known as Annihilape belongs to the Fighting and Ghost types, which makes for an unusual combination with its own set of advantages and vulnerabilities.

In the world of Pokemon, Annihilape is particularly vulnerable to moves from Fairy, Flying, Ghost, and Psychic types.

Since Annhilape’s type compatibility, it will sustain less damage from Bug, Fighting, Normal, Poison, and Rock-type assaults.
