As I delve deeper into the fascinating world of celebrity dynamics, I find myself captivated by none other than the power couple, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. The actor known for playing Deadpool and Wolverine in a Marvel film has shifted his attention from advertising his recent Marvel production to preparing for Blake’s upcoming “It Ends With Us”. To kick off this new project, he decided to tease his costar, Brandon Sklenar.
“I was absolutely thrilled, as I shared during a video posted on August 6th, when I found myself interviewing my beloved character’s co-star from the 1923 film! It’s not every day that this happens, and to be honest, it feels quite surreal. What a unique experience!”
It appeared that Brandon found himself slightly uneasy with his latest interviewer, particularly when the interviewer displayed a picture of Brandon, Blake (with whom Ryan has children), and their kids – James (aged 9), Inez (7), Betty (4) and Olin.
Ryan went on, “I noticed a picture where you were striking a pose with Mrs. Reynolds. The image seemed quite hint-laden.”
However, as you might expect, things aren’t always what they seem with the Deadpool‘s actor. He later replaced the image with one featuring only Brandon, displaying his impressive… resources.
“Ryan exclaimed with emphasis, ‘What’s the secret behind that?’ He seemed curious about whether it was due to genetics or a specific exercise routine that accentuated that area in such a way. Intrigued, he asked, ‘Are you hiding mini pumpkins there? Or is there some other explanation? I’m getting quite excited just looking at you.’ “
However, it wasn’t just Ryan who asked questions; soon after, Brandon was accompanied by none other than Tammy Reynolds, often referred to as Blake’s “hottest date,” who is also Ryan’s mother.
She started by saying, “It’s not often that a leading lady’s mother-in-law has the chance to interview her romantic interest. And here I am, attempting to fill the shoes of my dear, sweet, little gummy bear, Ryan.”
She went on to say, “Brandon, I watched the film and let me tell you, your performance is outstanding in that movie. If I can’t have you, on a scale from ‘not watching another movie’ to ‘halting my blood thinner medication,’ I don’t want to watch anything else.”
In response, the 34-year-old recommended that Tammy continue with her medication and expressed some concern for her child, as well.
And said son quickly jumped in, asking Brandon if he would be interested in being his new dad, joking that he “he could really use a man in his life. Hugh [Jackman] is no spring chicken anymore.”
Of course, the Greatest Showman star soon joined in on the interview himself.
Hugh clarified, “It’s not often that I find myself interviewing the romantic interest of my best friend’s spouse. In fact, it’s also unusual because he’s attempting to take over Ryan’s role as her husband and mine as his closest friend.”
Hugh posed a significant query to Brandon: “Why on earth are you meddling with my closest friend’s spouse?”
Uncertain about the recent changes in interviews, Brandon wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip by, especially since he was face-to-face with a Tony Award winner.
“By the way, you’re here, let me just say, your performance in ‘Les Mis’ was truly exceptional,” he exclaimed, showing his admiration. “I must confess, I’m a big fan of yours. You have an amazing talent for everything – you’re like a rare unicorn!”
Ultimately, it was Brandon who triumphed not just against Ryan, but also impressed Tammy and Hugh. In fact, Hugh humorously commented, “It looks like we’ve discovered our next Wolverine.”
