Tasha Ghouri, both a model and television personality, gained prominence after starring in the Love Island series of 2022.
Tasha initially moved into the villa as one of the original islanders, and shortly after her arrival, she formed a romantic connection with co-star Andrew Le Page. Their bond experienced highs and lows, but they persevered and reached the final stage together. Remarkably, they have continued their relationship since then.
Ever since her appearance on the program, Tasha has been advocating for the deaf community and started her podcast titled “Superpowers with Tasha”, where she honors individuals and their unique abilities or strengths.
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of publishing my very first book titled “Hits Different.” This captivating narrative follows the journey of a young woman with partial hearing loss, who harbors a passion for dance and seeks romance along the way.
Tasha is set to become the second renowned figure in the deaf community to showcase her skills on Strictly Come Dancing, after Rose Ayling-Ellis’s victory in 2021.
What has Tasha Ghouri said about Strictly Come Dancing?
In her statement, Tasha expressed her disbelief by saying: “I can hardly believe it, but I’m going to be on Strictly Come Dancing! I’ve been a fan of the show since I was young – it’s always been a beloved family tradition for us Ghouri’s. So, this is like a long-held dream finally being realized.”
“I’m confident it will be a memorable event, and I aim to do us all proud while dancing.”
The announcement was made on the Kiss FM Morning Program, where Tasha shared with the hosts that she was feeling both “anxious” and “thrilled”.
“I feel like this is actually happening, it didn’t feel real until I’m sat here now,” she said.
Upon stepping into the villa, it was clear that Tasha was a dancer, although she herself mentioned that it’s been quite some time since she last performed as a dancer following her career after Love Island.
Regarding the new dance form she’s trying, Tasha commented, “This style is quite distinct from what I usually do, and I might not excel at it; for instance, I struggle with ballet.”
